George POV
I'm leading Dream to another experiment. New day, new experiment. Luckily I'm alone with him.
He's keeping very close to me, directly shoulder to shoulder contact as he had his hand lingering around my wrist and hand, being overly touchy. I let him, as it didn't bother me. I actually even enjoyed that attention he was giving me.
"You okay?" I asked to make sure he really was fine.
Dream nodded "Yes, but, can't we just turn around? I liked the time we were spending together back there. Come on, no one even asked you to test something on me."
I shook my head "No, Dream, I'm sorry. Scheduled experiments have to be done, or Quackity will be real angry with me again."
Dream took my hand and held it tightly, then abruptly stopped walking. I was unable to keep him going, he was standing in place like a heavy statue.
"Dream, come onnn" I tried pulling him to me. But, then he did the same thing to me. Within just an eyeblink he had pulled me into a tight hug. I started laughing, trying to break free "Oh my god, Dream, stop!"
He buried his face into my hair and for a bit started going backwards before loosening the embrace. He was leading me back to the direction of his cell. "I've decided we're going back" he said. He acted so serious, but I saw it in his face that he was just playing.
"Dream!" I kept on laughing, this idiot was still not letting go of me. Kidnapping on reverse? I was not mad at him though. I wasn't like, actually wanting to go do this experiment. Acting a little silly now and then doesn't hurt, now, does it? I didn't even feel anxious while we're being noisy in the hallway. I didn't feel any paranoia, I felt safe.
"Okay, fine, fine, you won! I'm going to offer you something if you let me go."
Dream let go of me without hesitation.
I took his hand and held it "Have you ever wondered where I spend my free time when I'm off my working shifts?" I smiled, feeling excited.
"With me?" he tilted his head to the side.
"What? No. Well, kinda. Most of the time I do now. But what I meant is, where I sleep."
"Oooohh will you bring me there? Do you also have a room like I do?"
I was now the one taking steps backwards before properly leading him somewhere. "Almost. It's my room, my safe space that no one other than me enters. It gets incredibly lonely very quick though. As much as it's my safe space, I'd rather go to you. Because my room is boring." I shrugged.
"Wait, can't I just hide in your room then if you're the only one who is allowed to enter?"
"Uhm.. no... I doubt that would work. If you're missing, of course they'll start searching through the whole laboratory in an emergancy case. I'd be pretty much the main suspect on their list."
Dream sighed, sounding disappointed. "That just, sucks. That shouldn't be a thing."
I chuckled. "You're ri-"
As we walk past the hybrid cells, I see a trail of blood on the floor going as far as the hallway goes. "uh.." I look behind us, and it felt so empty. So eerie. And for some reason I can't seem to be seeing anyone here.
I can't help but notice that each of the cells were so dark that I couldn't see any of the creatures inside, and the lights were dim above me. I couldn't get myself to check it out and understand the physics behind the lights.
Everything feels so odd in a creepy way.
I was about to stop and crouch down to check out the blood, but Dream held my hand tightly and kept pulling me forward "No, let's keep going. Ignore this."
