Dream POV

"Oh and before I'll leave, I have something for you." George pulled something out of the pocket of his hoodie. Something colorful? He handed it to me and I examine it in confusion. Some little cube with many different colors.

"Here, I guess I'll 'sacrifice' my rubik's cube to you."

"What do I do with this now...?"

George giggled "It's simple. You move different pieces of the cube until all its six faces have the same colored pieces on each side. Just takes some skills and brain power to solve this. I messed it up on purpose, it's suppose to be like that by the way."

I frown, still having many questions in my head. I try to move the cube by twisting it, and for a second I did think I was about to break it.

"Take this as a harmless experiment"

"Huh... Is it easy? It looks very difficult, George. I don't think I can do it. It looks boring too, to be honest..." I continue to move the cube around, the thing getting more and more confusing.

"Well, I see you're pretty occupied and busy with it though. Have fun, I'll be back with your food in around fifteen minutes!"

Is this a joke?

First of all, what the hell are fifteen minutes, I can't read time. And second of all, this cube is nothing but crap!

I watch George leave and continue to fight my battles with this horrible little thing. I put my full focus to it. It's frustrating! I first focus on trying to fill the first side with the color red for example and I am on my way to bring one, I get the second, but in order to get the third, I have to remove the first! What do I do!? Where did that first one even disappear to? I lost sight of it- Wait, where's the side I was focusing on?

Oh god, the colors are confusing me by a whole lot. I can't keep track of my steps...

Wait, didn't George say he is colorblind? Why does he have this?

He keeps surprising me every day...

I go backwards and sit down into my corner as I don't stop giving this colorful cube the deadliest look ever.

I have no clue how much time passed, but I'm easily getting mentally exhausted of thinking so hard. It's getting really boring, I'm not getting anywhere. I keep messing up my first step after another and another one.

"Is there any other way to solve this..??" I angrily mumble to myself. "Am I doing it wrong?!"

I stopped for a moment, just examining the cube. I looked up to the glass for a moment, checking if I was alone before I started to fit the tip of my claw of my index finger into the crack between each of these colors and tried to carefully pull out the corner. I wondered if I can detach it. But also, I was unsure if I'd break it...

Once I heard a little crack, I immediately stopped and pulled my claw out.

Okay, nevermind, I don't want to break it. I don't want to risk breaking George's belongings before he'd detach my head from my body.

But seriously, this was frustrating, I can say that again. I tried to move the cube some more, twisting the sides and trying to put actual thought into this.

Does George know how to do this or does he just have this laying around in his room? Because as he said, he's colorblind! I wouldn't be surprised if it was just being dusty in his room. What human is even capable of solving this anyways? Why does he have it in the first place?

Whatever. I give up. I angrily put the rubik's cube to the floor beside me and instead put on the hoodie that was laying near me. I got comfortable in it and I pulled up the hoodie a little to hook it over my nose as I'm sat there, all tucked in and waiting for George with my eyes peeking right above the fabric.
