Lydia POV

"Flight 287 to San Francisco will be boarding in 35 minutes." The announcer says as I hold Aria's hand as we head to the gate.

"I need a drink," Olivia says looking over at the bars. "It's 9 in the morning," I say looking at her and she waves me off.

"It ain't never too early to have a lemon drop." She says and I roll my eyes. The airport had been so busy since Thanksgiving was tomorrow.

"Mommy, can we get snacks for the plane?" Aria asked looking up at me. "I packed a few snacks for you baby," I say adjusting her small backpack over my shoulder.

"I want sour patch kids and strawberry lemonade." She says smiling up at me and Olivia snickers.

"Poole's child."

"Tell me about it," I say walking over to one of the stores. "Aria I heard mommy packed a few Go- go squeezes. I want one." Olivia says lifting up Aria and tickling her sides.

"I guess we can share," Aria says and Olivia sticks her tongue out. "How about this? I'll get the snacks and I'll meet you guys at the gate." I say handing over Aria's backpack to Liv.

"Sounds good. I don't want to fight anyone when it's time to board the plane." Olivia says walking away with Aria in her hands. I browse the store and pick up a few snacks. Whenever Aria and I travel, I do like to treat her with a few sweet treats.

"I hope you know this ain't Trader Joe's." I hear a familiar voice snicker. I turn around to see my neighbor, Rome.

"Fuck off asshole." I joke and he laughs adjusting the hat on his head. Rome and I over time have become good friends.

"Stop looking at the calories." He says coming up next to me as I had a package of pretzels in my hands. "Am not," I say putting it back.

"What are you doing here?" He asked grabbing a bottle of water. "Heading to California for Thanksgiving. Liv and Aria are at the gate." I explain picking up three packages of sour patch kids for Aria and Liv.

"Oh me too." He says and my eyes widen. "Relax. Not a crazy stalker." He jokes and I chuckle. I pick up two bottles of water and walk over to the register. I grab a few more snacks before walking back to the counter.

"Is that all?" The worker asked and I nod taking out my phone to use Apple Pay. "Hey I got you slime," Rome says and I let out a laugh.

"Slime? I thought I was the loud noisy neighbor?" I ask watching him set his things down on the counter as the cashier starts ringing up all the items.

"It's a season of giving thanks." He says smiling and I roll my eyes. "Alright your total is $45.27," Rome takes out his wallet and pays with cash. "Keep the change. Happy Thanksgiving." He says as we gather all the items and walk out of the store.

"Thanks again Rome," I say as we head to the gate. "No problem Lyd." He says. FYI, there is no romantic connection going on between Rome and I. Very platonic and strictly friends.

"Is that my little track star?" Rome says as we approach Liv and Aria as they sat at the gate. "Hi, Rome!" Aria says jumping off her seat and running to him. "Hey, little one."

"What are you doing here?" She asked curiously. "I have a few business deals that I need to settle before heading home tomorrow." He says.

"You're not seeing any family for Thanksgiving?" I ask as we both take a seat. Aria climbs up on my lab and rests her head against my shoulder.

"Uh, I don't really talk to my family." He admits looking at me. "I'm so sorry." I apologize and he shakes his head.

"Well if you want you could join us tomorrow," Olivia says and I look over at her. "I don't think Esha would mind either," I say.
