Jordan and Lydia wasted no time and I mean NO time before starting the process of helping her get her memory back. As much as Jordan wanted to show all the great times they had together, he first wanted to start with her career.
"I did that?" Lydia asked looking up at the flat-screen TV in the living room watching one of her big performances with Chloe Bailey at the Chase Center. Jordan looks up at her as he had been sitting on the floor with his back against the chair.
"Yes you did that Lyd," He says watching as she smiles down at him and then looks back at the TV screen.
"And you were so nervous that day," He adds and she smiles before shaking her head. "Like ready to rip my head off type shit."
"Was my dad at this performance?" Lydia asked as they broke the news to her last week about her dad. It was one of those days when her emotions had been all over.
"Yes, and you were upset that I invited him," Jordan says getting up and walking over to his computer that was connected to the TV.
"He was my biggest..."
"Critic," They both say in unison while looking at each other. She smiles before playing with the hem of her silk-matching pajama set.
"What's next?" Lydia curiously asked watching as Jordan closed his laptop. "It's getting a little late and you had a long day. Dr said not to take it easy every day." Jordan adds and she pouts. He smiles watching as he knew that face always worked on him when she did it to him.
"I hope you know that face works on me every time you do it but not tonight, love." He says and she smiles.
"You called me love," Lydia points out as Jordan places his computer on the coffee table and takes a seat next to her.
"Sorry did not mean that if it makes you uncomfortable or anything." He apologizes and she shakes her head. "No, it's fine. It's cute."
It was like Lydia and Jordan had been starting fresh.
As if they just met each other. It was hard for Jordan not to be affectionate to a woman that he practically lived in her skin prior to the accident. This was new for him.
"What other names do you call me?" Lydia asked looking over at the stranger she soon became more fond of over the last week.
He was a very attractive guy, Lydia thought to herself. He was her husband after all which was crazy for her to wrap her head around.
"Uh, I-I have several names that I call you," Jordan says staring into Lydia's eyes. "Tell me," She says playfully pinching his thigh.
"Lydia, Lyd, Gianni," He says and she nods. "What else?"
"Love, babe, baby, princess, pretty, mama, and a lot more but we don't have to get into that if you don't want to." Jordan clarifies and Lydia smiles. "I like them. They are cute." Lydia says before adjusting in her seat.
"You ready for bed? I can get your medication ready for you while you get ready for bed upstairs." Jordan says while adjusting his glasses on his face.
"I actually wanted to talk more," Lydia says. "Only if you are up for it. You probably had a long day at practice." She says and he shakes his head.
"No let's talk more," He says adjusting on the couch and fully facing Lydia. "How did we meet?" Lydia asked pulling the Hermes blanket over her legs.
"We met at the Chase Center. It was your first day of being the head coach for the dance team and while our practice was ending, your practice was starting." Jordan explains and Lydia nods.
