"So Thanksgiving at my house this year," Ayesha says as her arms were linked with Lydia's as they walked down the hall to the locker rooms. "And you, Jordan, and Aria are welcomed to come."
"Do we usually come every year?" Lydia curiously asked and she nods. "Every year there is always something so I think you guys should come." Ayesha jokes and Lydia laughs. The door to the post-game interviews opens and walks out Jordan with Aria behind him. He was tired and just wanted to be home with his girls.
"Daddy! I'm hungry!" Aria says tugging at the bottom of Jordan's basketball shorts. He lifts her up and kisses her cheek and she smiles.
"How do chicken fingers and fries sound?" He asked and she nods before resting her head on his shoulder. He looks down the hall to see Ayesha and Lydia talking and he smiles once he meets eyes with her.
"Great game J," Lydia says pulling him into a hug. "Thank you, baby." He says kissing her cheek.
"Is my little baby tired?" Lydia asked rubbing Aria's back as she nodded. "Come mama," Lydia says opening her arms and Aria reaches for her.
"I'm going to the locker room to get changed. I'll be out in a few minutes." He says to Lydia and she nods. He kisses the side of her mouth before heading to the locker room.
Did we forget to mention that they have not kissed? Even though he ate down on her several nights in a row...they have not reached pound town just yet...
"Alright, babe! I'm going to see if Steph is ready. I'll text you okay?" Ayesha says pulling Lydia into a side hug. She kisses Aria on the forehead before waving bye to Lydia.
"Chicken tenders and fries," Aria mumbled against Lydia's neck and Lydia smiles before rubbing her back. Lydia walks down the hallway to the boy's locker room and waits outside for Jordan.
"Lydia!" She hears someone call out. She turns around to the same dread head on the Grizzlies team approach her. As he got closer, he had a very familiar face but Lydia couldn't seem to remember him.
"Uh yes?" She asked as he used his towel to wipe the sweat off his face. "I-I uhm, how are you?" He asked giving her a soft smile.
"I'm sorry do I know you?" She asked. It's like she has seen him before but does not know where. His face furrowed a little before tilting his head.
"I'm Ja. You don't reme-"
"Baby you ready?" Jordan asked coming out of the locker room fully dressed in the outfit he wore to the game. Damn, that was quick.
"Yes," Lydia says looking over at him. Jordan and Ja exchange looks at one another before Jordan wraps his arms around Lydia. Lydia turns her head back to see Ja staring at her. He gives her a small wave before she turns around.
Why does it feel like I know him?
---
"Ready for bed?" Jordan asked walking into their bedroom after a long day. After the game, they all came home, ate dinner together, and put Aria to bed. Lydia had been sitting in the bed on her phone as she watched Jordan walk into their room.
"I am," She says setting her phone down. He turns off the lights in the bathroom before walking over to her side of the bed.
"You don't need to sleep in the guest bedroom," Lydia says looking up at Jordan who smiled.
"I thought we were taking things slow," He says taking a seat at the edge of the bed next to her. "We can still take things slow and sleep in the bed together," Lydia says while patting his side of the bed. He smiles at her before getting up and climbing into the bed onto his side.
