Lydia POV

"We would really love to have you back at the Chase Center Lydia," The entertainment director says over the phone as I prepare for my long day of rehearsals and meetings.

"Julia, I would love to come back but I'm doing really good right now," I say in the nicest way. Working at the Chase Center as the head coach was nice besides working with Jordan. There were perks but it was annoying because we always brought our relationship problems to work, which was bad. And honestly, I'm doing much better on my own! I have my own studio in San Francisco right now which has 99% enrollment each year and many of the dancers who go to my studio have been giving opportunities that not much other have.

"What do I need to do for you to come back?" She questions and I sigh. "We can always increase your pay and have a sign-on bonus." She starts rambling on as I walk out of my room and into the living room.

"The money isn't the problem Jules." I say taking a seat "Then what is?" She asked as I grabbed my laptop from the coffee table.

"With all due respect Jules, if I were to come back to the Chase Center, it would not really benefit me. I have my own studio right now and plus I'm working with a lot of artists." I say and I hear her sigh.

"I'm so proud of Lydia," She says and I smile. "Thanks, Jules," I say smiling. "I just want you to think about it." She says and I nod.

"Alright Jules," I say smiling. "I'll talk to you!" And with that, I end the call and scroll through my emails. Junk, Junk, and more junk. As I look through my emails, I hear the doorbell ring and I soon get up. I walk to the front door and it reveals Rome standing there with a brown bag in his hand.

"I got you a bacon, egg, and cheese on a plain bagel from the deli." He says walking in and I smile.

"You know the crazy thing is I've been craving a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich for too long," I say as he walks to the kitchen island and sets the brown bag down.

"Well I'm glad I could be the one to fulfill that craving." He says smiling and handing me the bagel. "Thanks again. How much do I owe you mister?" I ask grabbing a two plates from the cabinet.

"I'm going to act like I didn't hear that." He says before opening up his bottle of orange juice. "I'm serious," I say handing him the plate and he rolls his eyes.

"Blah blah blah." He says opening up his sandwich and watching as steam comes from the sandwich.

"Sometimes, I'm actually happy I grew up in New York." I say grabbing my laptop from the living room and bringing it back to the kitchen island and sitting next to him.

"And why is that?" He says wiping his mouth and looking at me.

"I'm sorry but you can't get good bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich in any other state besides New York. Maybe Jersey but it's really here." I say opening up my sandwich.

"Thank you again," I say taking a bite of the hot sandwich and putting it down. "So Miss Trackstar is not here?" Rome jokes and I smile taking a sip of my water.

"No, she is spending the whole week with her dad. He picked her up this past weekend." I say looking at him as he slowly nods. Speaking of this past weekend.

"How was your weekend?" He asked looking at me. How was my weekend?

Flashback

After our long, long, long shower, I was able to get dressed and get ready for bed. So I thought!

"I like this," Jordan says referring to the nude slip dress I wore as I grabbed two wine glasses from the cabinet. His hand grazes my lower leg and I feel chills go up my spine. Why does he still have this effect on me? After all these years.
