Phil POV
The door creaked open, so I opened my eyes. I saw five or six silhouettes enter through the giant metal door, so I lifted my head.

"You two grab her, we'll grab him," I heard someone say, and I immediately shot up into sitting position.

"Hey, don't hurt Zoe," I said as they opened her cell door. I heard Zoe grunt and mumble something, but other than that she didn't make a noise. I watched the men pull her out of the cell with force, but Zoe seemed to be handling it fine.

A few men came over to my cell next, sliding a key into the lock and throwing the door open. I figured that it wouldn't do any good to fight against them, so I stood up and walked out of the cell without arguing. My neck felt stiff since I was just sleeping on the ground, but I ignored it.

"Don't do anything stupid," a guy said, grabbing my arm tightly. I turned my head and gave him a wicked smile.

"Why not? Stupid is fun," I stated, receiving a bemused look from the man. I remembered the van ride to this god forsaken hell hole and couldn't help but smile. The men who rode with us had the exact same faces every time I spoke.

I'm gonna make these people my bitches.

I'm gonna take my little victories.

With that in mind, I turned to face the guy on the opposite side of me, who had brown hair slicked back into a pony tail and gray eyes that looked almost like sludge. "So what's your name, cutie?" I asked, giving him my sexiest smirk I possibly could. Unfortunately the man didn't look at me, he just kept staring straight ahead. I gave him a little pout, which I'm positive he saw, then turned to face forward. I was gonna ask the other guy a flirty question, but I saw a head of messy brown hair and chocolate brown eyes that made me change my mind.

"Hey look, it's Dan and George!" I shouted excitedly, waving wildly. Dan gave me a look that was probably supposed to be spiteful, but he just looks like a pouting puppy. I couldn't suppress my giggles as I walked away from the two.

The men led us into a room that seemed like miles away, when in reality it wasn't too far. My stomach felt empty, reminding me that I hadn't eaten in a while. Vampires need to eat every three or four days to survive, but I haven't tasted blood in almost six.

Zoe looked back at me for about two seconds before she was led off to a different room. I could see the fright in her eyes, but she stayed composed and calm. I had a newfound appreciation for that girl's strength; I had never seen it before today, but she was much braver than most vampires and humans I'd ever met.

I was practically shoved into a small room with a flimsy-looking wooden chair and a tall lamp. The walls were the kind of white that reminded someone of an asylum. I stared at the chair for a second, then turned to face the door, which was shutting without someone coming in.

"Wait, am I gonna be questioned?" I asked. I awaited some sort of response, but received none. There was a mirror in the room, which, seeing as I've watched way too many crime shows in my life, I knew to be a one way mirror.

I walked up to the mirror, ignoring my disheveled appearance in the reflection, and knocked on it. "Hello?" I called. I still received no answer. "Listen, I know you can hear me," I called, my anger seeping into my voice.

"Sit down, vampire," I heard a disembodied voice say. I looked around the room for some sort of speaker, but couldn't find one.

"Kay, but my name is Phil," I called, and plopped down into my chair. I crossed my legs and placed my hands on my knees theatrically, as to show that I was waiting. I sat there for a bout thirty seconds before I dropped my hands and uncrossed my legs. I was very tired and the scenario was very boring and I did not want to be here. I wanted to be at home, possibly watching tv with Troye or Hannah, or maybe even Joe, sipping on some coffee, talking about nothing.
