...Yeah, she's still taking a shower, not quite sure how to pass the time with her-oh, wait, nevermind
Sam takes a refreshing sigh as she steps out of the bathroom, now dressed with the cloak around her shoulders, the belt around her waist, and the sword sheathed on her side...also wearing some moderately-light clothing, "Neraaaaa, pretty bird, pretty bird, where'd you gooo?" She cautiously peers around, peering for the raven and tapping her shoulder
Out of nowhere, the splotch of darkness flies onto her shoulder
"Hey, good girl" Sam pets Nera as she starts heading up to her room
She goes inside her room and grabs a light backpack and starts filling the backpack with Roxxane's books
"One...two...HUP" Sam struggles to get the backpack on, having to put it on the bed in order to even attempt putting it on
Almost as soon as Sam starts trying to walk away from the bed, she falls backward, Nera squawking in shock while she flies around the room
She sighs deeply as she starts taking it off the straps, slowly standing up to crouch back down to the backpack
"...I guess I don't NEED the dino book...I could probably get by without taking the mythology book, too...maybe..." Sam plans out as she has to take out the extremely thick books with two hands because of the sheer weight
She tries lifting the backpack up with only the spell book, an easy 10 pounds
"I'll be back, I promise...I hope" The anxiety starts to finally creep into Sam, realizing just how outlandish her goal seems and how slim her unexperienced chances are
"Nera," She whistles, "c'mere" She calls out to the bird after getting the backpack on and slaps her trap
Nera squawks around as she finally lands on Sam's shoulder like an airplane to a runway
Sam takes one last breath of reassurance...and then starts walking out the door
She drops her feet down the fuzzy stairs, waving goodbye to her parents as she steps out of the house to try and conquer the unconquerable...
So she begins-
"Hey-hey, Nera, you know...it's my 20th bird day-BIRTHday, sorry, and everything, so do you-uh-do you wanna go out and-and-and...get a celebratory drink first? You know, so we can...uh...all get a...get a load off...or... or something...I think?" Sam talks to the bird as she immediately changes her path, beginning to walk into town, wiping off her nervous sweats
Nera almost groans as she rolls her head, slanting its eyes and meeting Sam's gaze again
"I think so too" Sam agrees, chuckling nervously
They walk along the stony path, going into the busy town square, a well in the middle of the area
While they go there, I think I'll touch on someone else's story for the moment
A burly white guy wearing mostly black clothing with silver boots pushes open one of the enormous wooden doors to the tavern, automatically being overloaded with loud conversations between chums, babbling bards, the occasional shout from a random person downing another shot at their wooden table
The curly-haired man strides his way between tables and chairs toward the main bar, an area a surprisingly far distance across from him
He takes note of the entire architecture, admiring the warm ceiling lights, intrigued by the class-listing area that looks like an older version of a normal checking area at a gas station or someplace, to simplify, think of a long bar with planks that resemble Minecraft wooden fences as the borders to section off each booth instead of plexiglass, there's also a noticeably long line at the very right booth
