The Borderlands

kurima's pov

I opened my eyes and I looked around to see Kuina standing next to me, observing the whole place. I tried to remember things but weirdly I couldn't.

"Something feels weird, I could tell." Kuina said curiously

"Let's look around." I said. We were at the entrance of the hospital, we just left because Kuina visited her mom

"It looks so empty." I said, while I described the looks of Shibuya right now.

"Right, let's walk around." Kuina said and I agreed

We walked around the city for like 15 minutes and we still saw no one.

"This is making me feel scared Kuina, why is no else here other than us?" I said, I have the most weird feeling ever in my stomach right now. This whole place doesn't feel right, nothing feels right anymore.

"Just hold my hand, okay?" Kuina said reassuring me with a small smile and I nodded.

"We should find Tak and Aguni." I said.

"Yeah that's a good idea." Kuina said

"Let's go to one of those stores." I said and pointing all of them out.

"Yeah, i'm feeling tired of walking actually." Kuina said

We walked to a convenience store and looked around. I tried to turn on the light but it wouldn't.

"The light won't turn on." I said confusingly

"Weird." Kuina said with a confused expression on her face, while she looked at me.

"Maybe the electricity is cut off for some reason." She said

"I'm a bit hungry tho, let's see if they got our favourites." I said, trying to lighten up the confusing mood.

I looked around at the food section and there was only some left.

"There are only a few left, this is a literal convenience store." She said disbelievingly

"Let's just rest for a bit, before we're gonna walk around again." I said and Kuina sat in front of me.

"Kuina what is this place?" I asked confusingly, while I sat down

"I don't know. but imagine if we're the only people in the world left." she said with big eyes

"But what about food and other things, like showering and stuff?" I asked

"I totally forgot about that, it sucks stinking all the time you're right." she said

"I hope the electricity is not off everywhere." I said

"I hope waters not off everywhere." Kuina said and I nodded

It was getting darker and we decided to wander off again in the city to find Tak and Aguni. We didn't know what time it was, it seemed like the clock was stuck.

"I hope my parents are safe." I said to Kuina while we were walking on the street

"I hope so too with my mom." she said

The city looked so empty, it was creeping me out all the time. If something bad was going to happen to us, we would actually be prepared. Tak and Aguni learned me their fighting skills and Kuina definitely knew how to fight too.
