𝐀𝐒 the strapping police officer strutted his way past Cheonsa's window, she quickly cleared her throat with a flourish, hoping to make a grand impression on him.

Cheonsa took a deep breath and put on her best "I don't know you" face, hoping the cop would fall for it.

It wasn't that she didn't want to be recognised; it was just that she didn't want to be seen as the same insecure girl she was in high school.

After all, she had come a long way from the days of bad fashion, haggard face, and bad hairstyles.

She was about as confident as a turtle in a hailstorm in high school,

but now? She's ready to take on the world, or at least her old classmates.

But there's a catch.

If she admits to knowing him, it could get awkward real quick.

What if he doesn't remember her? Or worse, what if he does remember her, but she's changed so much that he will think she's got multiple personalities?

It was a risky move, but she was willing to take the chance.

After all, what's life without a little bit of excitement and mystery?

Suddenly, there came a sound that echoed through the quiet air.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

The cop used the back of his fingers to tap on Cheonsa's window.

Her heart started to beat faster as she saw the silhouette of the uniformed officer through the tinted glass.

With a dramatic flair, she cleared her throat and slowly started to roll down her window, revealing her perfectly made-up face.

Cheonsa's eyes wandered from the officer's piercing cat-like gaze down to his crisp uniform, adorned with various medals and patches.

She couldn't help but take notice of his name tag, with its neat block lettering that spelt out "Yang Jungwon."

As he began to speak, Cheonsa couldn't resist the urge to bat her eyelashes and give him a dazzling smile.

"Greetings, miss," the officer said, his voice low and authoritative.

"Do you have any idea why I pulled you over?"

Cheonsa paused for a moment, feigning innocence as she looked up at the roof of her car.

"Well,"

she said coyly, twirling a strand of hair around her perfectly manicured finger.

"I was actually going to ask you the same thing, Mr... Yang? Yung? Young?"

Cheonsa squinted at the name tag, her face contorting in mock confusion.

She pretended to struggle with pronouncing his name as if she hadn't used to spending countless hours stalking his social media profiles just to find out his full name and his parents' names.

"Oh, Officer Yang Jungwon!" She exclaimed as if she had just solved a difficult puzzle.

Jungwon pursed his lips, his brows furrowing as he looked at Cheonsa.

"You were going past the speed limit, ma'am,"

He said sternly, his voice leaving no room for argument.
