𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐀'𝐒 heart skipped a beat as she looked into Jungwon's warm and inviting eyes.
She couldn't help but notice the ends of his lips slowly curving up as if he knew something she didn't.
As he spoke, his voice was laced with sincerity, and his smile only grew wider.
"Thank you for that letter, Cheonsa,"
He said, his arms crossed over the window frame.
Her mind was a jumbled mess of emotions - nervousness, anxiety, gratitude, and something else she couldn't quite put her finger on.
A thank you was always her response, but this time she was lost for words as she wasn't the one saying it.
But then, as if a switch had been flipped, Cheonsa felt a wave of confidence wash over her.
A smile painted her lips, and she met his gaze with a newfound lightness in her heart.
"You're welcome, Jungwon,"
She said, her eyes never leaving his.
Their gazes were locked in a silent conversation, and Cheonsa couldn't help but feel the electricity between them.
Suddenly, Jungwon's tone changed, and he spoke with a hint of playful frustration.
"I can't believe that you really left after giving me that card, Cheonsa,"
He said, still holding her gaze.
Cheonsa couldn't help but paint a sly smile on her lips.
"It's because if we still met after that, I would break the letter's words,"
She said, her sarcasm clear in her voice.
Jungwon shrugged, his smile never faltering.
"Well, now you broke it,"
He said, a glint in his eye.
"Unintentionally," Cheonsa couldn't help but feel a warmth spread through her chest as she looked at Jungwon.
Just as they were settling into their conversation, the sudden ringing of her phone shattered the tranquil atmosphere.
She frowned and checked the caller ID - it was her brother.
"Oh, well. Officer, Jungwon, I might have to leave now, as someone is waiting for me,"
She said with a sigh as she declined the call:
Breaking their gaze and realizing she was in a hurry because of her family reunion.
Jungwon, standing outside her car, cleared his throat, feeling a bit disappointed to hear her words as 'someone' is waiting for her.
"Are you perhaps,"
He began, scratching the back of his neck before continuing,
"in a relationship, Cheonsa?"
His tone was laced with sadness, and Cheonsa could feel her heart skip a beat.
He gulped thinking and assuming that the notification was from her lover.
Cheonsa's eyes sparkled as she glanced at him, realizing that he was disappointed that he thought she wasn't available.
"No, of course not, Jungwon,"
She said, smiling like an idiot as she looked up at the ceiling.
"Soon, though."
Jungwon furrowed his brow, confused by her response.
"What...Soon?" He asked.
"Did you forget? I told you that I want to be called Yang Cheonsa someday,"
She said, rolling her eyes sarcastically, but her cheeks were flushed with a bright red hue.
Jungwon couldn't help but laugh, enjoying the way that Cheonsa's shy and confident personalities were mixing together to make her more attractive than ever.
Jungwon leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a low, sultry whisper.
"You know you're also driving me mad, Cheonsa?"
Jungwon repeated her earlier mumbled cuss, his lips curling into a mischievous grin.
Cheonsa's heart skipped a beat as she felt a rush of heat spread through her body.
But she rolled her eyes again, despite all the redness that was taking over her skin.
"Dont even,"
