Who'd ever think your day would be starting like this—barely getting any sleep and now, getting chastised for missing food from the mess hall kitchen. Though, you knew it was bound to happen anyway since Sasha was quite a messy person.

You and your friends sat in the conference hall, inevitably listening to Commander Erwin's and Captain Levi's lecture on how immature you were. Though, you and your friends had remained voiceless the entire time. You softly exhaled, staring at your feet. It's bad enough you were already on punishment, but this was the main reason you didn't want to go in the first place—even though you did have fun.

"Now, which one of you idiots stole food from the mess hall? If I get nothing but silence, that's an extra ten laps you're all running." Levi asserted, crossing his arms rather impatiently.

You glanced around the room and perceived that none of your friends wanted to answer. You twiddled with your fingers anxiously, pensively coming up with a way to ease yourself out of this. The room was engulfed with silence and nothing, but pairs of eyes were roving the entire room.

"Since none of you dipshits want to answer, make it thirty laps and I don't want to see any socializing either. Get to it." Levi ordered, rigidly.

"It was me." You swiftly stood up, as the attention focused on you. You didn't fail to notice how wearied your friends were from the harsh training yesterday and it felt rather iniquitous to you. You were already on punishment and you never had to run as many laps as they did—so, you felt it was essential to spare them out of trouble.

"Very well then, the rest of you are dismissed. Levi will deal with you accordingly, Y/n. I have a mission to embark on, so I expect you all to be on your best behavior upon my arrival again." Commander Erwin's austere voice had asserted. Commander was nowhere near as stringent as Captain Levi, yet he was somehow more unnerving.

You watched, as your friends exited the room, leaving you face to face with Levi. You already felt your knees buckling, your stomach turning into knots and your cheeks infusing with red. You slowly cleared your throat, evading his provoking stare.

Being around this man, had your heart dancing in ways you couldn't seem to evoke. You felt like you were on fire, like you could spontaneously combust at any moment—almost as if someone had set a slow and steady match beneath your center, deep in the pit of your stomach.

"Follow me into my office," He mumbled—a slight furrow between his brows, as he stared pointedly at you with an icy coldness. You obliged and dreadfully trailed behind him, timidly watching your feet as you walked.

You entered his office for the first time. You scanned the room, discerning how neat it was. You could see why Levi had barely left his office, as you felt a sense of tranquility the moment you stepped in. His office consisted of a bed, a couch, a reading area and a decent sized bathroom.

You gauchely stood by his door, placing your hands behind your back, "What do you need?" You questioned, faintly.

"Have you been avoiding me?" He asked straightforwardly, leaning against his desk.

"N-no." You replied, flatly. You creased your eyebrows and folded your arms, "Is that all you wanted?" You queried, beginning to feel peeved.

"Hell no. I want you to organize those books and put them in alphabetical order, while I figure out why you're lying." He snapped, pointing towards an inordinate stack of books.

You stammered, "I-I'm not lying, Captain. I wasn't avoiding you. I was just doing all of my tasks ahead time." You responded, frantically trying to organize the books.

"Hm. So, why did you lie about stealing the food then? Care to explain?" He interrogated, watching your every movement.

"I didn't lie," You muttered, lying to his face yet again. You didn't exactly like to lie to anyone, but you wanted to protect your friends well-beings.
