You laid with Levi on the velvety grass for a couple of hours. You favored the sky, the stars embedded into the black night bringing beauty to your puzzling eyes. You'd always stare at the night sky when you were younger, hoping there was someone out there in the universe staring right back at you.

The longer you stayed with Levi, the safer you felt. You never knew how much you meant to Levi, until now, as it was clear as day. You closed your eyes, letting the breeze brush up against your face.

You were relishing yourself, until the inevitable thoughts of Marco popped into your mind. You swiftly felt an unforeseen feeling in your chest—almost as if someone had placed a leaden weight on top of it, making it difficult for you to breathe.

You left him there alone, as you involuntarily let Levi turn your minutes into hours.

You abruptly stood up, frantically putting on your heels. You stared at Levi, who was completely nonplussed. You wished you could stay with him—you were truly yearning for his presence, but you had to find Marco before the night was officially over.

"I have to go. I'm sorry, Levi." You spoke, rushing off before he had the chance to even say anything. Leaving Levi in such a hurry was quite untimely and the way he looked at you was utterly direful—though, you pushed the thoughts of Levi to the back of your mind, at least until you found Marco.

You rushed back the festival, jostling your way through the dissipating crowd. You arrived at the first stall you and Marco went to together. You stood in place, eyes unable to blink—as you discerned that the festival was officially dying out. You suspired heavily and skimmed the area. Luckily, you found Marco sitting on the bench alone.

"Marco!" You called out, trotting towards him. He looked up at you, but didn't utter a single word—almost as if he were staggered you even came back for him.

He slowly blinked, "If you didn't want to come with me, you could've just said so—instead of having me sit here for hours waiting for you." He asserted, slightly frowning at you.

"No! I did want to come with you!" You cried out. You were reaching out for his hand, but he swiftly moved it and that made your heart twinge.

"Then where the hell were you!? You said you'd go browse, but you just left me alone for god knows how long!" He argued back, standing up from the bench. He crossed his arms, as he surveyed you—waiting for an answer you couldn't give him.

"I lost track of time and I—and I-I don't know! Okay?! I forgot..." You disputed. You were flustered as ever, as you thought about how you and Levi spent the night together instead.

He gave you a laugh of disappointment, "You forgot, huh? Was there someone else?" He asked abruptly, holding his head down.

"No! Of course not! You know, it's normal for people to forget things!" You lied, as your eyes shifted to the bunny that was sitting on the bench next to him. He spent his time winning that bunny for you, while you spent your time dancing with another man.

He lifted his head and spoored your eyes, noticing you were staring at the bunny you really wanted.

He sighed, "Oh, yeah. I won that for you a little over an hour ago. I also bought us some food, but I ended up eating both portions since you decided not to show up." He muttered wretchfully, as he handed you the bunny.

You grabbed it from his hands and held it in your arms, "I'm so sorry, Marco." You whispered, staring at him with your gloominess eyes.

"Goodnight, Y/n." He replied softly, as he turned his back from you and started walking away from you. You watched him walk away, until the point he was completely out of your sight—the way his silhouette disappeared into the vast darkness made you feel melancholic.
