A/N: buckle up buttercup , this is the last chapter, but it is a long one:)
The full moon hung low in the mazarine sky, surrounded by such an ethereal glow, as it casted a soft, silver glimmer over everything in its sight. The world was peacefully hushed, as if it had been put to sleep by the gentle light. Sunless crepuscular shadows stretched out across the ground, softened by the ghostly moon's luminous touch. You looked into the distance—the moonlight was like a long silver belt, veiling the dark, as millions of coruscating stars were sprinkled behind it.
You smiled to yourself, as you sat underneath the willow tree located outside of the headquarters. The wind gusted your hair and whistled in your ears, as you gracefully sketched the winsome view you saw. Truthfully, you didn't want to think about the decision you had to make come morning time. You couldn't bare to leave your friends behind and him, too.
Your boots sank into the mellow snow, as you rested your back against the tree. You swiftly heard the crunching of snow beneath the feet of someone approaching you from behind. You looked up and saw Levi walking towards you, holding a small smile on his face. You smiled back, your eyes lighting up at the sight of his gorgeous face.
"Hey." His gravelly voice spoke, sitting down next to you and taking a peak at what you were drawing. "What are you drawing?" He questioned, pure curiosity in his tone—he admired you and loved learning new things about you, as well as your hobbies.
"Just drawing what I see." You answered, sketching the willow tree you were sitting underneath, as well as the sky and stars you found rather intriguing. He nodded his head and hummed, as he watched you effortlessly sketch.
"I never knew you could draw, you know." He added on, carefully admiring your beautiful work.
You nodded, "I can paint, too. It was the only thing I was ever allowed to do growing up, so I just went with it." You shrugged, slightly blushing.
"It's beautiful, Y/n. Show me your best work." He teased, nudging you. It felt rather uncanny seeing Levi Ackerman so damn vulnerable with you, but you loved it. Underneath that tough demeanor of his, he was nothing but a softie with such a massive heart.
You giggled, "On second thought, hold that pose." You ordered, studying his facial features and expressions, as you began to draw him— instead of starting over with a new drawing, you drew him sitting underneath the willow tree, staring up at the stars and everything above.
"You're going to draw me?" He questioned, raising an eyebrow in utter bewilderment.
"Mhm," You nodded. "Just drawing what I see." You spoke, winking at him. You began concentrating, biting your lips in a stressful manner, as you continued to draw and outline Levi's body and face. His facial expressions looked the same as before when the two of you went stargazing, if not softer.
"God. You're so beautiful, even when you're concentrating." He complimented, gazing at your pulpy lips, but you smiled and shushed him, rolling your eyes. Though, after a few more minutes of a serene silence between the two of you, you ultimately finished up your sketch of him. You handed the piece of paper to him and watched, as his pupils dilated.
He narrowed his eyes and smiled to himself, "Thank you. It's amazing." He spoke, holding it close to his heart, which made your own heart flutter and your cheeks tint with pink.
"Thank you, Levi. Keep it." You smiled, as you laid on your back. Levi was the only person who ever knew you were an artist and he was the first one to admire that side of you. He laid down on his back and stared up at the sapphire sky, alongside you.
"I will," He responded, placing the hand-drawn sketch into the pocket of his uniform shirt. You grabbed his fingers, intertwining them with yours, as the two of you laid together in complete silence—This night kept reminding you of that one particular night for some reason, when the two of you stargazed together for the first time, obviously without the drama circulating around it.
