You arrived at the festival with Marco and everyone else. Your eyes were filled with fascination, as you admired the luminous string lights, the smell of different foods, the stalls that were filled of games and prizes, and the vibrant music. You smiled, "This is amazing! I don't even know where to begin!" You chuckled, frantically looking around.
"I know where to begin! We're going right where the food is! Come on, Connie and Jean!" Sasha exclaimed, pulling Connie and Jean's arms to the nearest food stalls.
"I guarantee you she's going to order food from every single stall." Armin joked, crossing his arms.
"Well, that's Sasha for you! I wouldn't have her any other way." Eren smiled, watching the girl run off in the distance.
"Come on, Ymir! Let's go to the Photo Booth—it'll be fun!" Historia suggested, struggling to pull Ymir's arm because she was so tiny compared to her.
Ymir and Historia had been dating for years and you absolutely adored how they were with each other—the way they looked into each other's eyes as if nothing else in the world mattered.
"You want to play a game or something?" Marco asked you, unlinking his arm to hold your hand instead.
You blushed, "Oh, uh, yeah!" You smiled at him and looked over at Mikasa, who mouthed the words "have fun" to you with an evident blush on her face. Eren swiftly grabbed her and Armin's hand and pulled them elsewhere.
Marco led you to the first mini game you and him were going to try. There were darts and there were balloons, assuming you had to pop all of the balloons to win whatever prizes were on the display.
"Which one do you want?" He queried, pointing at the stuffed animals lined up on the display shelf. Your eyes widened, as you saw the cutest stuffed bunny with a bow tie tied around its neck. It sort of reminded you of the one that you had when you use to collect stuffed animals growing up.
"The bunny!" You giggled like a little child, considering this was the most fun you'll ever have in Sina. It almost made you feel some kind of sorrow, as you wished this was something you could've done with your father.
"I'll win it, if luck is on my side of course. If it's not—I'll waste all my damn money to win you that bunny." He winked, handing the host a handful of cash. You watched and laughed, as he struggled to pop the balloons because his aim was horrible.
While he continued to waste his money on the dart game just for you, you figured you should do something for him. You sauntered to the nearest ice cream parlor and ordered his favorite flavor of ice cream, as well as yours. You walked back and discerned that Marco was starting to get frustrated.
You shook your head and nudged him, "Maybe, you should take a break?" You suggested, handing him his ice cream.
His mouth dropped, "You got my favorite? How sweet are you!?" He smiled, chowing down on it.
"Of course. You're welcome." You replied, eating yours slowly. The both of you walked away from the booth and found a small situated table where you both could enjoy your ice cream together.
"This place isn't as bad as they made it out to be, you know?" He stated, looking around joyously.
It provoked you whenever your friends made that stupid statement. Sure, this place looked like Heaven from the outside, but the inside is nothing, but hell—the people, the higher ups, the aura and everything else about this damn place is a dreadful nightmare cosplaying as some sort of "dream-come-true." Once you were to get in, you would want to claw your way back out.
