-Levi's POV from the moment you approached him at the festival
Levi roamed the entire festival for about an hour so and immediately felt peeved. He despised being in Sina, even for just mere seconds, but it's not like he had a choice. He'd rather stay in the comfort of his office, with a cup of tea and a newspaper to keep himself occupied. However, he found himself wondering if you were going to show up to the festival or not.
Truth is, he doubted that you'd even listened to his advice, bearing in mind that you were quite perverse and really annoying sometimes—but somehow, he still felt apprehensive about your well-being.
Levi leaned up against the wall, grabbing random shots from waiters that were making their way through the crowds. He took a couple shots and spent most of his time, watching people dance the night away. Maybe, that's what he wanted—what he needed, a desperate escape from the world around him.
"You look like you could use some company," His body slightly jolted, as he heard your sweet voice approaching him.
Levi groaned, disregarding the fact that he reacted that way when he heard you speak, "I like my peace and quiet and I definitely don't like this place anymore than you do, but I needed some fresh air." He replied, drinking from another shot glass.
"That's unlike you—figured it'd be too noisy for an old man like you." He heard you taunt, which made his heart smile.
He played it off with a scowl, "Shut it. I'm surprised to see you, actually." He uttered in a straight-forward tone.
"Why? Because I said I wanted to lay low?" You asked, as he watched you pick up a shot of tequila from another waiter walking back.
"Exactly. Didn't expect you to show up in a dress and heels either." He stated, his eyes trailing your entire body. The way you looked back at him with those innocently scintillating eyes, had his heart fluttering in a million different ways.
He hated how perfect you looked, how perfectly that dress hugged your body so indescribably effortlessly, how perfectly your hair blew in the autumn wind. It was his first time seeing you in a such a revealing yet mesmerizing dress and as much as he'd deny it—he thought you were undoubtedly gorgeous.
He watched you drink the shot and scowl, assuming you didn't realize it was tequila, "I took your advice. Besides, I'm not exactly enjoying myself tonight anyway." He heard you respond.
He wondered why you weren't enjoying yourself, but he didn't want to pry. He flickered his eyes at you, noticing that yours became a luminous glow of bleakness.
"Wow. You actually listened for once, that's cute." Levi taunted sarcastically, hoping to get a reaction from you. "You think talking to me is going to fix that?" He queried, taking the shot glass from your grasp—he didn't want you getting drunk tonight.
"You're the only one who understands." Your soft voice spoke, like some sort of soothing melody to his ears.
"Mm.." He hummed, lowly. Truth is, he didn't understand you as much as he wanted to.
"Do you want to dance with me?" You questioned him, abruptly. He raised his eyebrows—he could only stare at you, as a great look of cluelessness swept across his face.
"I thought you hated me and now you want to dance with me?" He questioned, side-eying you, unsure if you were serious or not. He didn't show it then, in fact, he was never good at showing his emotions—especially an emotion like this because it was all so new to him—feeling this alive just from being around you.
