Chapter 2

Later that day me and Kathryn spent time talking to different people on the web.
Kathryn leaned back as she sat next to me on my bed . I had my laptop in my lap and was looking at different profiles.
She let out an sigh.
"what up?" I asked looking at her.
"nothing.jest thinking about Darin"she said .
"What about him?" I asked .
She slightly shrugged "oh.nothing much jest thinking ." She said
"Ok" I said as I closed my laptop and sat up.
Jest then my phone chimed. I looked at the screen . It was a text from Marylyn saying

"Hey sis can you tell mom that I'm spending the night at a friends house for me ?"

"Why can't you do it ?"

"Because I don't have her number." She finally said.

I didn't feel like going down stairs so I jest told her over text. She jest replied ok.
"Whose that ?"Kathryn asked .
"Oh it's jest Marylyn." I said .
She jest said ok and laid her head back in my lap and closed her eyes.
I watched her as she laid there with her head in my lap and jest thought of how close we had been through out the years and she was like a sister to me.
"Hey...can you ask your mom if I can spend the night ?" She murmured as she still had her eyes closed.
"Sure " I said .
I pulled out my phone again and asked her in text if Kathryn could sleep over .
And she said yes.
"Hey she said that you could ." I said .
"Mm..ok." She said quietly .
I could tell that she was tired and was about to fall asleep.
"Hey so what do you Wana do tomorrow ? I asked "
"Uhh..probably talk to Darin like I said before." She said a little more awake.
I nodded.
"What should we talk about?"I asked
"Well..we should get to know him better " she said .
"Ok..."I said
"Like maybe play 20 questions!"she said happily .
I chuckled "yeah"
"You never know-this guy could change your life forever."she said.
Her saying that made the hair stand up on my neck.
