Chapter 26

I froze and was completely speechless.
Seeing Marilyn with a gun pointing at my face made my legs go weak.
She was wearing a black leather jacket and jeans.
"I-" I couldn't even finish my sentence.
She slowly stepped in.
I backed up and didn't turn around.
Just then Darin walks in.
"Hey did you find the-" he stopped when he saw Marilyn pointing a gun at me.
She looks at Darin.
"Hello Darin..miss me ?" She asks sarcastically.
"Marilyn..I-" he cut himself short.
She then looks back at me.
"Now stand still so I don't make a mess." She said.
I didn't make a sound.
"Marilyn-come on-lets talk about this.." He calmly said.
She almost bust out laughing when he said that.
"TALK?? Pffff...YEAH RIGHT!! I've already given you the chance for that." She said not looking away from me.
"Ok-fair enough.." But before he could say another word Kathryn came in through the front door with a gun in each hand.
I heard Darin say something under
His breath but wasn't able to make out what it was.
I tried to slowly move my hand behind me so I could move my gun out of her sight by sticking it in the back of my pants.
"Yep." Kathryn said.
"Now-I don't plan to stay here and clean up the mess DARIN made-" Marilyn was cut off by Darin.
"ME??" He said.
She then made the gun click to let him know that she wasn't in the mood for games.
He then looked away.
My heart was pounding.
What the heck do I do????
My mind was racing.
Just then there was a big pound on the door.
"Oh! That's them!" Kathryn said happily.
"Great...here Kathryn. Stay here-I'll go talk to them." She said as she walked past me and towards the door.
Kathryn held each gun at me and Darin.
"Kathryn....what are you doing?" I calmly asked.
"SHUT-UP." She said sternly.
"Kathryn-listen to me-" I began.
"NO-you listen to ME." She said angry.
"Ok-ok..but at least hear me out..-what do you think your going to get out of ANY of this?" I asked.
"More than you think!" She said proud.
"Do you even hear yourself?? This is NOT the Kathryn I once knew-" I said.
"Oh! Well time sure does fly when your having fun! Well it looks like she's GONE." She said.
"I know you-you wouldn't do this just because your feelings got in the way." I said.
"NO!-you have absolutely NO idea what your talking about!" She said with an strong voice but a little uneasy.
Just then Marilyn came back with two guys that had AR's.
WHAT THE HECK????? AR'S?!!! Really????
"Now these are my handymen that will blow you to smithereens if you try anything funny." Marilyn said.
I looked over at Kathryn who was now standing a little slumped over as if her knees were broke and had her gun down beside her.
I'm so close to breaking her..
"Now walk over into the living room-both of you!" Marilyn instructed.
Me and Darin did as she said and Walked into the living room with our hands up.
Marilyn came over to me and looked me in the eye.
She showed no sympathy for ether of us.
And before I even knew it she hit me in the side of the face with her gun.
I stumbled back against the wall.
Pain shot though my cheek.
Darin helped me back up.
I touched my cheek and it was bleeding.
I looked over at Kathryn. She saw me look at her and she looks away.
"You thought I was kidding didn't you? I don't kid around!" She said up to Darin's face.
Darin only looked at me in the corner of his eye.
She steps back and looks at both of us.
"Marilyn-I know your better than this." I said.
"You don't know me at all." She said.
"Yeah! Right now I don't! You are being so stupid!" I said angry.
Darin glares at me to stop but I ignored him.
"You were changed by your feelings! Just like Kathryn! You both took the accident about your mom the wrong way!" I explained.
"No!-that's not what happened! He killed her on purpose!" She said uneasy.
"How?!!" I yelled.
One of the guys clicked his gun as an warning But I could care less.
"He started the fight and he killed her!! Just like im about to do-TO YOU!!" She screamed.
"Kalie look out !!" Darin yells as he shoves me out of the way.
I fall to the floor. I grabbed my gun and shot one of the guys and took his AR gun for myself.
I got back up and looked over at Darin who had shot the other guy right between his eyes.
A pool of blood began to flow out of the guys head and onto the floor.
the blood spread around me where I was standing.
"Oh! TWO CAN PLAY AT THAT GAME!!" Marilyn screamed as she practically tackled me down to the floor and started to punch me in the face over and over.
I felt my fave all the sudden go numb.
I grabbed my hand gun and hit her in the head with it.
Darin quickly comes at Marilyn and shoves her down.
Marilyn quickly kicks his gun out of his hands and grabs it and points it at him.
I rammed into him to move him out of the way.
She gets up and shoots at him but misses.
Kathryn throws her another gun and Marilyn aims at both of us .
"Get down!!" Darin yelled at me.
I dropped to the ground and I crawled on my stomach and knocked Marilyn off of her feet.
Darin stood a little ways in front of Kathryn.
Marilyn grabs the AR and fires at him aimlessly.
Darin moves before she could pull the trigger.
I quickly knock Kathryn out of the way from being shot.
We both drop to the ground.
"Marilyn!!! Your going to get us all killed!!" I screamed getting up on my knees.
"And there's nothing wrong with that!!!" She screams back.
She shoots another round and it shot me in the shoulder.
"AGGHHH!!" I scream out in pain.
"Kali!!!" Kathryn screams.
I drop back down. Blood started to flow out like an river.
Darin comes to me and grabs my gun and shoots at Marilyn.
"Darin no!" I screamed.
"yes! We have to!! she's going to kill us!!" He yelled over the loud sound of constant gun shots.
I felt my head go dizzy.
My arm now feels so weak.
I can't feel anything In it.
I looked at Marilyn who is on the ground firing at Darin.
Bullet shells were all over the floor.
I quickly grab an gun off of the floor and aim at Marilyn's hand.
*BANG!!!* I got her.
Marilyn screams and drops the gun and falls down.
Her hand is now poring out blood.
"Marilyn!! PLEASE!! I'm begging you! Please stop!!" I yelled.
"NEVER!" She screams.
Darin kicks her gun away from her reach.
"Marilyn what is this going to even prove?? You'll just live the rest of your life behind bars!" I said.
She then slowly puts her hand behind her back.
Kathryn's eyes got wide.
"Kalie look out!!" Kathryn quickly shoves me away.
Marilyn pulls out an gun and shoots.
-Kathryn then falls over.
"NOOO!!!!!!-KATHRYN!!" I screamed as I felt tears stream down my face.
"No no no please don't die on me!-please!! NO!" I cried
As I leaned over her.
Marilyn gets up on her knees and points the gun at me.
I stand up as Darin does the same.
"Marilyn-listen to me...you need to stop!" I Said with an quivering voice.
"How do you know what I'm suposto be doing ??!!" She said . I heard her voice was starting to shake.
" love you ! You know that! We all do!-Including dad!"
Marilyn shook her head and a tear rolled down her cheek.
"Yes! He did! He never meant to do anything! Dad DID love you!! You just wanted to blame him for something he didn't do because you were angry about him leaving and you wanted somebody to blame. But you doing all this won't change anything." I said.
She now looked like she wanted to burst into tears.
She lets out an small cry and looks down.
"I love you Marilyn.." I said.
She looks at me with eyes full of tears...
And holds the gun up to her head.
"NO!! Marilyn! PLEASE!" I cried.
She looks at me again and mouthes the words "I'm sorry" and pulls the trigger.
