Headmaster Black expelled the two boys who gave me the Amortentia, the third boy was suspended, and I got detention for a while and a stern talking to for turning the boy into a bug. They only found him because the other boy caught him before he could escape their dormitory. I should've squashed him.
The few weeks after the party were grueling. Time was spent either in class, detention, or if I got lucky I'd see my friends for a short while.
Sebastian often snuck into detention to keep me company. After that night in the Undercroft I just couldn't bring myself to hate him anymore. Even Ominis was beginning to warm up to him again.
"I suppose maybe it's time to consider..mending the friendship." He was extremely hesitant, as was I, but it started to feel like old times again.
My uneasy feelings and nightmares progressively got worse. I often had to sleep in the Room of Requirement so I wouldn't disturb my roommates. That was if I even slept at all. Most nights I used Floo Powder to venture outside the castle and hone my Ancient Magic. I wanted to be as powerful as I could be for whatever was coming.
And I knew it was coming.
I rubbed my eyes as I walked into Portions Class late. I didn't want to interrupt the lesson so I took whatever seat was closest to the door.
"Ah, Y/N. Nice of you to join us." Professor Sharp announced, making a few heads turn to greet me. So much for not interrupting.
I yawned and shrugged. "Yeah, sorry."
"See me after class." He said before getting back to the lesson.
Garreth bumped my arm with his and whispered to me. "You okay?"
"Dandy." I replied, pulling out my notebook to draw last nights dream. I was haunted by a specific part, but the whole thing was just...unsettling.
I sat with Professor Fig in his office and sipped on my tea.
"How are you, Y/N?" He asked as he sat down in the chair in front of me.
I shifted uncomfortably in my seat. "I'm alri-"
"Don't lie." He smiled into his cup before he took a sip.
"I don't know." I answered honestly. "It's hard been harder lately, especially without you guiding me."
"It seems you're still not seeing the full picture, Y/N. You should open your eyes." He set his teacup down on the table next to him. "It might help, you know."
"What?" My eyes are open, that doesn't make sense.
His smile quickly turned into a straight face. "Open your eyes."
"They are open, Professor." I blinked and his face was suddenly only inches from mine. I jumped back and the chair fell backwards, but it didn't hit the floor. It kept falling until it landed in the graveyard at Hogsmead.
"You need to open your eyes, Y/N." His voice was all around me. I jumped up and looked around for him. He was gone. All I saw was darkness. I pulled my wand out and cast "Lumos!" But even that barely helped.
"Professor? Professor Fig!" I yelled out for him, turning my head around frantically until I saw someone and ran to them. I laid my hand on their shoulder. "Profess-"
"Open your eyes." The persons head spun around 180 degrees to face me, a wicked grin spread across their face before they grabbed me so tightly I couldn't breathe, my wand falling from my hand, engulfing us in darkness as I clawed at the man's arms around me.
