After our date, we sat holding each other as the sun bathed us in its warmth. I think we would've stayed there all day if it hadn't started to lightly rain on us. At first we didn't move, we just let it come down on us. Until it started to rain harder and we were drenched. We laughed as we cleaned up our picnic and ran hand in hand to the nearest Floo Powder statue.

We blinked and were engulfed in green flames before being spit out in the Slytherin common room. People looked at us funny as I'm sure we looked like fools. Drenched to the bone and smiling like idiots while we carried a soaked blanket and picnic basket to our dormitories. We dried ourselves off using towels and a little magic before doing the same to the wet blanket, which I brought with us to the Room of Requirement.

The rest of the day was spent just being happy and in love. I had actually even forgotten about meeting Ominis until I yawned on the couch in our Room. I sat up quickly, eyes darting to the grandfather clock in the corner of the room.

"What?" Sebastian looked away from his book to face me.

"I'll be back shortly. Ominis wanted to meet tonight, I assume to talk about yesterday." I sighed and stood.

"Oh, alright. Don't be too long or I might fall asleep without you." Sebastian yawned.

"I shouldn't be long, but if you're that tired don't wait up, my love." I ran my hand through his hair before kissing his head.

He hummed in response before pulling me down to kiss him. We kissed before I pulled back and went to Ignatia, who took me to the Defence Against the Dark Arts tower. I sprinted down and into the Undercroft.

Ominis was sitting on a blanket on the side opposite the triptych, book in hand as his wand read to him. He looked up and gave me a small smile. "Hello, Y/N."

"Hello, Ominis." I walked over and sat next to him on the blanket. His back was against the wall, mine was to the entrance of the Undercroft as I faced him.

It was silent for a moment as he closed his book before holding out his hand for me to take. I hesitated before placing a hand in his. He gave it a small squeeze before speaking. "I apologize for yesterday. I did not mean to take out my feelings about the situation on you."

"What feelings about what situation?" I asked, furrowing my brows.

He sat for a minute, his expression told me he was thinking. "Well, I'm surprised you don't know."

"Don't know what?"

"That I am in love with you." He stated bluntly.

My heart beat so loudly I could hardly hear his words. "I...you...what?" I asked, not understanding what was happening.

He squeezed my hand hard and repeated himself. "I am in love with you, Y/N."

In love with me? Is that what he said? He's in love with me? "Since when?" I scoffed.

"After everything that happened with Sebastian last year. You became all I had left in this world." His voice was soft.

I looked up to face him. "Why wouldn't you tell me?"

"I knew you loved him still. And I was afraid to lose you." Ominis sighed. "I know it will always be him...I just needed to get that off my chest."

"Ominis, I.." I paused, trying to think of what to say to him. I didn't know what to say, I wasn't even sure what to think. Ominis had been there for me through everything. He held me when I cried, made me laugh when I needed to, helped me breathe when I couldn't. He made me realize my value.

I felt my eyes welling up, threatening to spill at the memories of after my heart had been broken by Sebastian and by Fig's death. No matter the time or what was going on for Ominis, he was always there for me.
