Sebastian's POV
"Thank you again," I called to the woman behind the antique counter as I opened the door to leave. I had been there longer than I thought, trying to pick out the perfect piece of jewelry for Y/N. I decided to head to the Three Broomsticks to wait for the girls. They shouldn't be long.
"Good to see you, Sebastian." Sirona slapped a butterbeer on the counter for me.
"You too, Sirona." I smiled and took a drink. "Have you seen Poppy or Y/N yet?"
"No, but Y/N can't pass up a visit whenever she's around. I'm sure they'll be in soon." She replied as she wiped down a spot further down.
"I'll be upstairs if you see them." I headed to a small table that overlooked the entrance of the pub.
I was about finished with my butterbeer when I watched Poppy walk in and head over to Sirona. She pointed up to me and handed Poppy a drink, then Poppy quickly headed up to join me.
"Poppy? Where's Y/N?" I shifted in my seat, feeling the jewelry box in my pocket. Her being alone put me on edge.
"She said she would catch up. She didn't tell me where she was going, but she practically ran off so I just assumed it was important." Poppy took a seat across from me and sipped her drink.
I put my head in my hand and sighed. "Right, well. Before she gets here, I had a question."
"Oh? What is it?" She smiled and set her drink down.
"I, uh. Bought something for Y/N. I think she'll like it, but I wanted your opinion, I guess." I think I just wanted to show it off, honestly. I wanted to show Y/N off.
"That's so lovely of you! Yes, show me!" She practically jumped over the table to sit next to me as I pulled the box out of my pocket.
I handed it to her and she opened it. Inside laid a silver necklace with a teardrop Emerald that hung from it. It was the perfect length to always peak out of whatever shirt she chose to wear.
"Sebastian!" She looked up at me and then back down at the necklace. "This is absolutely gorgeous. She's going to love it."
She looked at it a second longer before closing the box and handing it back to me. I slipped it into my pocket and smiled proudly. The Emerald would compliment Y/N's eyes perfectly.
Poppy walked over to the other side of the table and took another sip of her drink. "Any special reason you would get her that?" A smile tugged at her lips.
"I want her to be mine." I nervously finished off the rest of my butterbeer.
She tucked her hair behind her ear. "I think she'd be happy to."
"I hope so." I fiddled with my now empty tankard.
She hesitated before speaking, as if considering her next words carefully. "You know...It isn't my place to explain much, but I can say that Y/N has always cared for you very deeply. After the two of you fell out of touch..she was devastated." She paused while she looked around the pub before looking back at me and dropping her voice. "She was very hesitant to let you back in, but she's happier now that you're speaking again."
I breathed a sigh of relief at Poppy's words. "That really means a lot to me. Thank you."
She smiled and took another sip. "Of course, Sebastian."
My stomach felt like it had a rock in it, I couldn't tell if it was just nerves or because Y/N still wasn't here. "I think I'm going to try to find her."
Poppy nodded and stood. "Let's go, then."
I stood and was halfway down the stairs when the huge doors flew open and hit the walls loudly. In stormed Y/N, covered in dirt and cuts, wand in hand.
