Sebastian and I stood in front of the Floo Powder station in the Slytherin common room, Ignita to our backs.
"Meet you there after we change?" Sebastian asked, giving my hand a squeeze.
"Definitely." I smiled. We kissed before parting ways, heading to our dormitories. I walked into mine, heading straight to the shower as I was covered in dirt from our time out. Stripping out of my clothes, I started the shower and watched the stream rise from the heat. Once warm enough I stepped in.
The hot water felt amazing on my body, instantly relieving me. I took a deep breath as I ran my hands over my hair, running it under the water as I started to clean myself.
I took a longer shower than I expected to, but it felt so nice it was hard to force myself out. I grabbed my medicine vials after getting dressed and headed down to the common room.
I froze in place at the bottom of the stairs, seeing Ominis reading on the couch in front of the fire. My heart stilled for a moment as I watched the light from the fire dance on his face. He really was so handsome.
Normally I would skip over to greet him and join him for a while before heading off, but our interaction earlier played through my mind. Him shaking my hand off his hurt.
I looked away from him and quickly walked over to Ignita, hoping he wouldn't realize it was me who just passed him by.
I checked around me before whispering into the Floo Powder station. "The Room of Requirement." I blinked and was surrounded by the roses and petals from earlier. I smiled at them and carefully walked through the room, trying to not step on any. Sebastian wasn't here yet, so I decided to change and read some in bed until he joined me. I popped the cork off my first vial of medicine and gulped it down before selecting my book from the wall.
"Hey, you." Sebastian climbed into bed next to me.
I put my book on my lap and smiled as he leaned in to kiss my temple. "Hello, Sebastian."
"What have you got there?" He pointed to my open book, leaning back against the bed's headboard.
"A book," I teased. He rolled his eyes and I smiled. "It's about a detective."
"A detective? I didn't take you for a mystery girl." He wrapped an arm around my waist and pulled me close to him.
I rested my head on his shoulder. "I love mysteries. I try to figure them out before the detectives."
"Of course you do." He chuckled before kissing the top of my head. "How long until bed?"
I glanced to the grandfather clock in the corner of the room. "Not long. You took a while to get here."
"I know, I'm sorry." He paused before continuing. "I ran into Ominis."
"Oh." My voice was barely above a whisper.
He hummed in response. "He asked about you."
"What did you tell him?" I played with the edge of the blanket.
"I told him he'd have to ask you. I'm not being the middle man for whatever he has going on in his head." He said bluntly.
"Hmm." I sighed and lifted my head from his shoulder. "I suppose that'll be the next mystery I solve."
He chuckled and I reached over to the bedside table. I popped the cork off the second vial of medicine and downed it before placing it back on the table.
Sebastian lifted the blanket for me as I slid down the bed onto my side before joining me. I scooted back to be closer to him and he wrapped his arms around my body, resting them on my stomach.
