"Good morning, Y/N." Ominis kissed my cheek before taking the seat next to me in the Great Hall. "Morning, Sebastian."
I hummed in response, finishing my mouthful of food.
"It's more than just a good morning. It's a great morning." Sebastian sang.
"What has you in such a good mood? Is it the same reason you have not been sleeping in your dorm?" Ominis asked as he began on his breakfast.
Sebastian and I slept together in the Room of Requirement every night after the first time a few days ago and I hadn't had a nightmare since. I wasn't sure if it was the potions or because he was there, but it didn't matter to me.
"As much as that makes for a wonderful morning and evening, it has nothing to do with that right now." Sebastian smirked. I slapped his chest, blushing, and shushed him.
"You will have to catch me up then." Ominis said.
"Tomorrow I'm finally taking Y/N on our date." He beamed with pride and it made my heart gush.
"Date?" Ominis cleared his throat before taking a drink from his cup.
"It seems Sebastian has a day planned." I took another bite of food.
"I see. Very exciting." Ominis's tone gave it away that he did in fact not find it very exciting. I raised my eyebrow but decided to ask about it later.
"Yes. It's a surprise though, so you'll just have to wait to hear about it." Sebastian teased. I rolled my eyes and took another bite of food.
"Sure." Ominis paused before repeating himself. "Sure." He continued eating. I put my hand on his and gave it a squeeze. He shook his head and I frowned, looking back to my plate and pulling my hand away.
Sebastian wrapped an arm around my waist and kissed the top of my head. I knew he meant we'd talk about it later, but I wasn't sure I wanted to.
I stood. "I'll see you both later. I have some things to do before tomorrow."
"Oh, alright. I'll see you tonight?" Sebastian asked, confused.
"Yes, I shouldn't be long. I'll find you when I'm ready." I hesitated to leave, trying to decide if I should say goodbye to Ominis how I normally did. He shook me off only a minute ago, so I decided it would be best not to. "Goodbye, Ominis."
I was halfway to the Floo Powder station when Ominis sigh before calling out to me. "Y/N. Wait."
I felt tears welling up before I forced them back. Ominis was my best friend and maybe there were some more feelings there, but... I just didn't understand why he would shake me off like that, he's never done that. Even if we were fighting.
I shook my head and kept walking, hoping it would come across that I was just too far to hear him. I whispered to Ignita, "The Room of Requirement."
I didn't really have anything to do, but I'd apologize to Sebastian later. He should understand that I just needed some time alone. I walked into my meadow vivarium and climbed up the rocks of the waterfall. I conjured a blanket and laid on it facing the sky. I watched the clouds for a while before closing my eyes and feeling the warmth from the sun.
I'm not sure how long I laid like that before I sighed and sat up, leaning back on my arms. The light breeze blew my hair around while I watched my beasts frolic around carefree. I sat like that a while longer before standing and dusting myself off.
On my way to the exit of the vivarium I gave earlier's events only one more thought before letting it go. If Ominis wanted space I would give him it.
I walked into my Room of Requirement and was shocked to see roses everywhere in vases and petals sprinkled on the floor. I looked over to my right to see Sebastian sitting at a table with a bouquet of wild flowers.
