"What the hell is that thing?!" Y/N shouted as he stared at the horrific, grey figure in front of him. On his neck were clearly noticeable bite marks, with a few drops of blood dripping down.
To say that he was shocked would be an understatement. He was completely flabbergasted at what he was witnessing; it was some sort of monster with loud breathing that sent a shiver up his spine whenever he heard it. This certainly wasn't something you would expect to see from a typical villain.
However, Y/N had a plausible theory for who, or rather what, this thing was. It was entirely possible that this creature in front of him was one of the Cursed. It was neither one of Athos' allies nor one of his classmates, meaning it was a third party. For what reason would a third party be here? Why, to eliminate a target, otherwise known as Izuku Midoriya. Of course, its target could also be him.
Nevertheless, this discovery of his wouldn't be of much help, seeing as there was nobody here who he was willing to inform of this fact. Sure, Athos may have shared with him the information he knew of his parents, but did he really trust Athos at all? Of course not. The peaceful and friendly time they spent together only existed because they had to discuss something important.
"Watch out!" Athos warned him before they both instinctively ducked, for the grey creature's arm unexpectedly extended towards them again. They managed to avoid its attempt at grabbing one of them, but as its arm retracted, it swiftly charged at them. "This thing must have a death wish!" Athos rushed at it, ducking under the creature when it tried to grab him with its arms, and delivered a powerful and sudden blow to its gut.
The attack Athos sent forth had enough power behind it to send the Cursed flying into a tree, and it slid down the tree in a comical fashion before collapsing face first onto the ground. For a second, both of the boys seemed to have been convinced that the one attack paired with its collusion with the tree had put a stop to the creature. However, they soon learnt it didn't.
The creature brought itself back to its feet only two seconds after it collapsed and charged at them again, seeming completely unfazed from what should have been a severe injury. They shared a concerned look as Y/N dashed forward. Athos stayed back with his eyes fixed on the creature.
"What are you?" Y/N found himself asking it before he brought a punch with Strength straight to the jaw. This attack sent the grey creature flying head first into a tree, and it collided with a loud shriek escaping its mouth.
Nevertheless, despite Y/N's efforts, the creature merely stood up with no signs of injury from the attacks both he and Athos were inflicting onto him. Were their attacks simply being nullified, or were they just not strong enough to overcome this threat? They found themselves in a tricky predicament for sure.
"So, Y/N, I have good news and bad news!" Athos stated with a shockingly worried look on his face.
"What's the good news?" asked Y/N, who was clashing with the creature and landing as many blows as he could to the face.
"I know what this creature's Quirk is!" Athos answered. "And it is one overpowered Quirk, to say the least!"
"Is that the bad news?" asked Y/N, who was now on the evading side, doing his best to dodge each and every attack this creature sent at him. Sure, it wasn't as easy as it sounded with how much these arms of its could stretch across, but it wasn't too difficult since Y/N was using Strength and Speed to his benefit.
"No, the bad news is what the Quirk involves!" Athos continued as the creature delivered an unexpected and powerful punch to Y/N's face. "You can't actually hurt it unless you attack specific areas! Once you do enough damage to those areas, it'll start taking proper damage!"
