The sky was practically ablaze from the scorching Sun. Its warm rays were giving an amber twinge to the sky and cast shadows onto the ground. These were all signs of the daylight swiftly transitioning to nighttime, the end of the day, far past the time they were supposed to arrive. They were hours late, meaning no food. If Y/N had to guess, he'd say they'd spent four to six hours more than intended.
"Oh, you're finally here, meow!" said the blue cat, her hands on her hips, an open smile on her face. A distance behind her were the red cat, who was remarking on how long they took, and Mr. Aizawa, who faced the approaching class with narrowed eyes. Behind them was a facility marked with the paw of a cat with the outline of a cat.
Class 1-A, minus Carbon and Walker, appeared from the shadows of the trees, each and every one of them bearing noticeable signs of fatigue. Their faces and uniforms were coated in dirt and bruises from the many hours they spent traversing through the Beast's Forest. It was safe to say that all of them were exhausted beyond anyone's imagination. A unified sigh of relief escaped their mouths.
"What do you mean, three hours?!" Sero exclaimed in disbelief, sounding very agitated at the time limit that they had.
"That's the time it would've taken us," the blue cat replied. "Sorry!"
"You were trying to boast about how much better you are?" Sato remarked. "That's mean..."
"I'm hungry..." Kirishima complained, a hand on his stomach, his eyes closed as his head faced upwards. "I'm gonna die..."
The blue cat giggled, "But honestly, I thought it would take even longer. You guys didn't have as hard a time beating my earth beasts as I thought you would. I wasn't even expecting anyone to get here in time, but I was proven wrong!"
"Huh? Are you saying...?" Y/N began, but the sight in front of him left him speechless and he even let out a quiet gasp in his surprise.
"Jeez, took you guys long enough..." Walker said in annoyance, walking towards them, a towel half wrapped around his neck.
"How did you...?!" Mineta cried.
Walker chuckled, "We just ran for it instead of confronting them."
"We?" Kaminari repeated blankly.
"O-Oh, you guys are finally here?" said Carbon, walking towards them as well, his hair slightly wet from something. "What took you so long?"
"Those two made it with only a few minutes left to spare," the blue cat explained. Bakugo seemed extremely pissed off at this, but his fatigue led to the boy surprisingly keeping his mouth shut. "But you five!" she continued with her finger pointing at Midoriya, Bakugo, Todoroki, Iida, and Y/N. "Were you able to act without hesitation because of your experience?" Suddenly, she pounced forwards, surprising the five boys. "I'm looking forward to where you'll be in three years! I call dibs!"
As the woman began to consistently jump around the five boys, whilst the entire class stared completely shocked, Mr. Aizawa asked, "Mandalay... was she always like that?" He stared at the red cat as he pointed at the blue one.
Mandalay explained, "She's a little desperate, since she's about the suitable age for, you know..."
"Speaking of suitable age—" Midoriya was abruptly cut off by the blue woman placing her oversized paw on his face.
"What about it?" she asked menacingly, which sent a shiver up Y/N's spine.
"I-It's been bothering me for a while... Whose child is that?" Midoriya pointed straight at the boy Y/N noticed earlier. He was confused on how the hell Midoriya managed to point accurately at the boy but decided to put that question to rest.
