"I KNOW about the baby Maeve. I know you lost our baby." The words echoed in Maeve's ears. She felt like the world was spinning around her.

How did he know? Those are the only words that are running through her mind at the moment.

She turned around and saw his eyes. Umiiyak siya. He looks like he's in pain.

She wants to say something but her body betrayed her. Natumba siya and Liam was quick to catch her.

"Maeve, Maeve!" Tinapik tapik niya ng mukha ni Maeve pero she didn't respond.

Binuhat niya ito at dinala sa sasakyan niya. He drove his car towards his house.

Nung makarating sila sa bahay ni Liam, binuhat niya ulit ito papasok sa bahay niya at nilapag sa guest room sa baba. He got his phone from the back pocket of his pants and called someone.

He called a doctor to his house to make sure that it's not only the intoxication of alcohol that made Maeve faint.

The doctor arrived and examined her.

"Well, aside from dehydration and her consumption of alcohol tonight. She should be okay. I put in a banana bag to rehydrate her and put in some nutrients in her body as well." The doctor packed her stuff and Liam showed him to the door.

He went back inside the guest room and sat down on the side of the bed where Maeve was.

Hinawi niya ang mga buhok na naka takip sa mukha nito. He stared at her face for what feels like a very long time.

He felt the urge the touch her lips and kiss her. But he stopped himself.

Baby steps, he said to himself.

Ang tagal niyang hinintay ang pagkakataon na to. Na mahawakan niya ulit siya. Mahalikan, mahagkan, but times are different.

They are in a situation where she finds him guilty of impregnating another woman. But in Liam's mind he did no wrong.

He was put in a position where he looked guilty but he wasn't.

He felt sleepy. He lied down beside her. For the first time since they met, they lied in bed together with their clothes on.

Maeve woke up with the sun hitting her face.

She stretched her arms and sat up. Napansin niya na parang may masakit sa braso niya. She looked at her arms and saw an IV bag connected to her.

"What the..."

"Good morning." Liam enters the room with a tray in his hands.

She was confused as to why there was an IV bag on her but what was more confusing was that bakit nandito siya sa bahay ni Liam?

Did they have sex? Why can't she remember anything.

"Why am I here?" She asked him.

He put the tray of food in front of her and laid out the knife and fork.

He made waffles, bacon, egg, and coffee. "You should eat." He said.

She wanted to argue but the food looked so good, her mouth almost watered.

She started to eat her food and Liam drank his coffee.

Both of them were silent. They sat there and ate. The only sound you can hear was the scraping of utensils on the plate.

When they finished eating, wala paring nagsalita sa kanila.

It was Maeve who broke the silence after a few minutes.

"I was so depressed that time that I-" She stopped for a moment to compose herself and swallow the lump on her throat. "I didn't eat. I didn't drink water. I stayed in my room most days." She sniffed and looked at Liam.

"Part of me blames myself for losing our baby. But you should know Liam, I was depressed because of you. Because of what you did. Because I couldn't comprehend why you did what you did." Naiyak na siya after saying it.

It was inside her for years. She felt a relief while saying the things she had bottled up.

Liam held her hands. He was ready to explain it all over again.

"Maeve, for the hundredth time. Nothing happened between me and her. I had a hunch that she set me up. She gave me a beer that night. I only had one and that's the last thing I remember." He explained.

"That doesn't matter. Nagbunga parin yun Liam. And I don't think we can just go back to what we were before all of this happened." She pulled away her hands.

She stood up and took her banana bag with her. "Thanks for the breakfast, Liam." She smiled weakly. "Felt a little bit like old times."

Liam stood up and catch up to her. "Do you remember the first time we had sex?"

Maeve's face was confused with his question. "Why is it relevant Liam? I told you, we can't go back to the old us. Things have changed."

"I was drunk as hell that night, but I still remember every single moment of it. How you tasted, every moan that escaped your lips. I remember it all." He sighed. "You think 1 beer would make me have an amnesia about having sex with Vanessa?" He asked her.

"Yes Liam! Maybe you could not remember it but you had her pregnant. The child is yours! How can you explain that to me?" Tumaas ang boses ni Maeve.

"What if I can prove to you that the child is not mine? Will you give me another chance?" He pleaded, he pleaded like his life depended on it.

"Liam how can you say that?" She said in disbelief.

"Napamahal sakin yung bata, but there was always a feeling na hindi siya sakin. I feel distant to him. Walang lukso ng dugo Maeve." He finally said it. What he truly felt about the child that was suppose to be his.

"Liam, you have to figure it out for yourself. Not for me." She said. "See you at the wedding." She smiled and left his house.
