Again... and again... and again...
Repeating the same scenario over and over. The void.
That goddamn void...
Always finding its way in. Never stopping its path into his mind... but this time was different. This was on a different level.Jack felt his eyes open and close but his vision remained dark as night. He felt paralyzed as he could not move any of his limbs. This had never happened before. Was this sleep paralysis? Jack was unfamiliar with it because he had never experienced it before. He felt his heart speed up his eyes darted around. What was it going to be this time? That question occupied his brain as he struggled to move.
"Close... Closer... Almost..."
Jack tried to respond but couldn't say anything. The voice was always the same. Picking at his nerves like strings on a violin. It's presence felt like a snow cloud was right above his head. The presence wasn't in the air, it was the air. Cold air traversed throughout him and made him feel as if he was stone.
"Why... won't... confess..."
What was it talking about? It never made sense before and now he was more confused than ever. It's voice was as raspy and haunting as ever as it continued it's chant.
"Lies... Chaos..."
"Lies... bring... Chaos!"
Jack: "AAH!"Once again, Jack found himself completely unharmed in the safety of his own body. His body shook as if he just exited an ice bath. Sudden stomps followed his scream of terror. Loona's room door burst open with a loud thud.
Loona: "What is it now?! I was trying to sulk in peace!"
Jack: "O-Oh u-um, sorry. Kind of had a bad dream... where's Blitzø?"
Her face softened as if his response dashed away her rage. This wasn't the first time she acted like this around him but he didn't know why. Her attitude slightly dropped and Loona responded quite calmly afterward.
Loona: "After that job yesterday we both agreed to let you rest up for a day or two. It wasn't my idea for you to be on that job in the first place, but Blitzø being the dumbass he is, completely forgot about your injury."
Jack couldn't lie that even he would forget about his wound once or twice, but he would be cruelly reminded with a serious stabbing pain in his back if even breathed wrong.
