Above is what Shanaya wore for her first day at college.

Shanaya's POV:

The weekend flew by, and before I knew it, Monday came along. My first day of college with Brooklyn. I pleaded God that my college was a nice one, where I wouldn't have any trouble finding friends. I decided to where something nice for my first day, to give people I nice impression of me. I didn't want to look like a rich brat or a slut so I went for something cute.

I chose a cute summer dress on and paired it with a brown platform heels. I hoped it wasn't a too over the top look but personally, I loved it. I also put on a few bracelets. My face only had a thin layer of mascara, eye liner and lip gloss on it. I didn't like caking my face unless it was for a photo shoot, and too, I had to be forced to do. I had left my hair damp from my shower that morning. I left it down, in its natural curls. Once I was satisfied with my look, I grabbed my bag and headed for downstairs for breakfast.

I quickly had my breakfast, which consisted of toast and a glass of chocolate milkshake. I said goodbye to my dad and brother, who had just woken up from his slumber. I double checked my appearance in the mirror before grabbing my car keys and heading out of the door to my car. My car was the latest of the fiat 500's collection. It's white coloured with a red coloured interior. The leather seats are also red, matching the interior. It also has a folding roof which is the colour red. It was a special gift from my parents in my 16th birthday. My car was my life, I adored it!

I used the address my dad had given me to drive myself to my college. It was a 5 minute journey to the college. As soon as I entered the car park of the college, people swung their heads round, looking at me. I found an empty spot, parking my baby. Before I opened my door, I checked my appearance again and got my bag from the passenger seat.
'Well, here goes nothing' I muttered to myself before opening my car door.

I stepped out onto the car park, only to see a herd of people gathered by my car.

'Hi' I shyly waved to everyone. I tried not to look at anyone as I stepped through the crowd, in search for the college's front doors. The crowd instantly split into two, giving me some space to walk through them. Once I got through the crowd, I spotted Brooklyn leaning against what looked like his car. His eyes were wandering over the car park, as if he was looking for someone. When his eyes settled on me, he waved before making his way over towards me. I stood there frozen to the spot.

Should I wave back?

Instead, I through a small smile towards him, which he greatly returned.

'Hey,' he breathed.

'Hi,' I said, a bit too excitedly. I mentally cringed at the pitch of my voice.

'Well someone's excited,' he laughed.

'No actually, I'm dead nervous, I'm just trying to calm myself down by sounding excited,' I came up with a feeble excuse for my voice.

He lifted a perfect eyebrow up, amused at my stupid excuse. 'Well... is it working?'

'Yeah... no.' He lightly chuckled.

We started heading towards the front doors of the college, where I was guessing, there was a reception. The lady behind reception was really nice, she gave me my timetable and assigned me with my locker. I had chosen all the creative subjects: textiles, art, and dance. As well as the normal subjects of English, Maths and the three sciences. I thanked her before checking my first lesson of the day. It was textiles. I mentally cheered. Amazing way to start the day, I loved textiles. I guess I got my dad's genes.

Brooklyn showed me my locker, which was close to our common room. I didn't need to put anything away in my locker, as I didn't have anything on me.
