Above is what Shanaya wore for the date.
Shanaya's POV :I woke on Saturday, happy as ever. Today was my date with Brooklyn. Our first date. I couldn't wait! He better like it!
I got dressed: a white full sleeved top with a silver shimmery blazer/jacket, black thick leggings and my black and silver sequined sneakers. I grabbed my watch, sunglasses and a few bracelets. My make-up was normal: mascara, nude lip gloss and eye liner. I straightened my long hair, and placed hat over it. I grabbed my scarf and wound it round my neck. It was now nearly 10 when I had finished getting ready. I heard a honk of a horn.
Brooklyn was here. I grabbed my purse, dumping my phone, make up and money. I had already booked our slots but this money was for food and emergency things.
I jumped downstairs, and flung the door open. In front of me was a very good looking Brooklyn. He was dressed in faded light blue jeans, white t-shirt and brown leather jacket. He paired his look with grey and brown sneakers and sunglasses. He looked so good.
'Shall we go?' I ask. He nods and threw me his keys. I took them, swirling them round my finger as we walked to his car.
We drove to the place.
'We're here.' I said, proudly.
'Now will you tell me what we're doing?' He pleaded. I nodded.
'Bungee jumping off a bridge, over the Thames.' I said, smirking.
'What? Are you crazy woman?' He screamed.
'Oh come on, live a little!' I whined, getting out of the car.
'Is there anything else you've planned, your majesty?'
'Yes I have. 3 activites. And trust, you're gonna love them all!' I said.
'Sure.'
We made our way over to the entrance, got our slot and went over to the bridge. Our instructor helped us into our safety gear and helped us onto the edge of the bridge. The bridgewas built very high up, perfect for such a sport.
Brooklyn was nervous, really nervous.
'You're not scared of heights are you?' as far as I knew, he wasn't.
'No, I'm just scared we're gonna die.'
I laughed, 'Calm down. This is completely safe. And if we do fall, we both know how to swin. It's fine.'
He nodded. I took his hand into mine.
'On three. One...two...three!!' I screamed as we fell forward. And so did Brooklyn.
We fell a good 10 metres before bouncing about. As we did, we laughed at how scared we had been before. We were dangling and laughing. We moved up and down, making the rope stretch and move, making us bounce about mid air. We ended up colliding a few times.
We spentan hour there, jumping like hooligans and howling in laughter like hyenas.
After that we made our way back to the car.
'So, did you enjoy that?' I asked.
'Hell yeah. What you got planned next?'
'Something. Don't worry, it's not that dangerous, as long as we don't collide, we're fine.' I said.
I drove us to the race track. Yes, we're racing in go-carts. I always wanted to beat a boy and then tease them.
'Now tell me what we're doing.'
'Go-carting'
'You're serious right!' He asked, excitedly. He was acting like a three old, being given the big question, 'do you want to go to disney land?'.
I laughed and nodded.
'More guys should have girls like you. Seriously, you're one heck of a girl.' He said, shaking his head.
We got out, heading for the entrance. We got our slot, helmets and went to get a go-cart. I grabbed the purple one while he got the red one. We were told our instructions and the safety procedures by the instructor, before he let us race. The track was huge and looked like a lot of fun.
'Prepare to be whipped Brooklyn!' I said, looking to my left to where he was.
'Yeah right. When that happens, pigs will fly.'
'Well then, get ready to see pigs flying.' I said.
The instructor blew the whistle, signally the start. We both drove off, racing. He was ahead of me, like I wanted him to be.
I always liked to give people the image that their better, making them over confident and then beating them at the last minute.
And that's exactly what I did. On the last turn, I zoomed off in front of Brooklyn's cart, evidently winning. As soon as I passed the finish line, I stopped the cart and jumped out, high fiving the instructor. Brooklyn came up behind me, and hot out of his cart.
'Told you Brooks, I would whip you. And now look at youm you're whipped, badly!' I teased him.
'Boy, you got beaten by a girl, badly!' The instructor said. I laughed as Brooklyn's expression changed to an annoyed one.
'Whatever. You were only lucky. Next time, I'll beat you, badly.' He said.
'Sure, let's race again!'
And we did, and I won. Again. Brooklyn was shocked, is an understatement. Guess I wasn't the girl he imagined.
We left for lunch. It was around 1pm so we went to McDonald's.
We bought our regulars, chips and a vege burger for me with a coke. Brooklyn bought a chicken legend burger and sprite.
We ate in the park. It was cold but we were okay.
Then we drove off to our last activity. Paintballing.
'So... what we doing now.'
'Paintballing.' I smiled.
'Oh my God. I'm in love with your date choices!' I giggled at his comment.
We parked the car and headed inside. We put on the clothes and the helmets. We were given our guns. We were paintballing along with a few other people. Most of them were our aged. The boys had their stupid eyes on me. And that, Brooklyn wasn't pleased with.
'Brooks, ignore those bastards. They're not worth it.' I said, loud enough for them to hear. Brooklyn smirked at them as they glowered towards us.
We played. I evidently won out of all the people. Brooklyn was shot by one of the guys but I stayed intact.
As soon as I had won, I did my victory dance.
'What kind of girl are you? You won a paintballing game against boys.' One guy said.
'I'm a unique girl. And I like who I am and proud of it too. So swallow your fucking pride and accept it. Women are not below you so don't degrade them.' I said.
'Trust me, I lost against two games of go-carting against her. And I was told I was good at it.' Brooklyn said. I smirked.
'You are one girl.' The guy said.
'I know.' I smirked.
We finished, changed and returned our stuff.
Brooklyn and I headed back to my house.
'I hope you enjoyed today cause I sure did.' I said, smiling at Brooklyn.
'Yeah, I loved it!' He smiled.
'Good. I'll see you on Monday then.' I said. He leaned in for a kiss, and i gladly returned.
'Bye.' He whispered into my ear.
'Bye' I opened the car door and entered my house. I waved back to Brooklyn and then closed the door once he had left.
I smiled. I loved today.
