Chapter 13

"Can we talk?"

The sound of uncertainty came out on Fourth's voice box as he nervously lets go of his hold on Gemini's arm.

Gemini who was confused, looked at Fourth doubtingly before agreeing.

Fourth looked around the area to see if there are any places they can go to, to talk privately because they are currently on the road where people are roaming around.

He wanted to take Gemini somewhere they can be comfortable with.

"Uh- can we talk over there?" Fourth suggested, pointing his finger at a spot where there are only few people lurking around.

Gemini nodded at him and they started walking towards a park bench near a fountain.

"You go first. I'm gonna buy us something to eat."

Fourth didn't get to say anything as Gemini fled the scene to look for a food stall.

When Fourth reached the spot, he instantly sat down and waited for Gemini.

He's feeling weary and a little anxious. He doesn't know where to start and how to approach the matter in hand.

About ten minutes of waiting, Gemini arrived with drinks in hand and a bunch of food boxes.

"Sorry to keep you waiting. I didn't know what you like so I just bought what people were buying. Hope it's for your liking."

Gemini smiled softly as he pass a drink to Fourth and sat down beside him.

"You didn't have to, but thanks."

Fourth meant it. Gemini didn't have to buy these things, but he appreciates the gesture.

"So, what do you want to talk about?"

Gemini faced Fourth curiously which made the shorter captain heave a sigh to calm his nerves.

"Uh- I just wanted to apologize." Fourth softly spoke before looking down on his feet, not being able to meet Gemini's eyes.

"About what?"

When Gemini asked that question, Fourth slowly turned his gaze to Gemini. Realizing that if he's gonna apologize to the man. He'll do it properly.

"About what happened... At Joong's party two years ago."

He didn't know how to approach the topic so it made him a little embarrass admitting it.

Gemini didn't expect Fourth to open up about that incident, since the last time they spoke about it, Fourth walked away from him.

Gemini didn't want to pressure Fourth into thinking that he made a mistake or he's at fault about what happened that night for that matter.

"I'm sorry for what I did to you Gemini. I- I shouldn't have done that and make you go through things that you shouldn't have gone through. It must have been hard for you and I'm sorry that I wasn't aware of the things that occurred that night. I was drunk and stupid."

The sadness and guilt on Fourth's voice was so evident that Gemini couldn't help but offer the shorter captain a smile. Reassuring him that everything's okay with him.

"Fourth, you don't have to apologize for that. That was a long time ago."

"I do, because I feel awful about it. You must've hated me and you must've been so mad at me and I understand you now."

Fourth genuinely admitted which made Gemini sigh.

"Fourth. I was never mad at you and I never hated you." The tall captain replied before putting down the drink he was holding to his side.
