I was walking Nalu in the park, enjoying the beautiful day when suddenly, she spotted a cat and ran after it. I called her name, but she didn't come back. I panicked and started looking for her everywhere.

"Come on, Nalu, where are you?" I yelled. "Please come back to me."

I searched for her all night long, calling her name and asking people if they had seen her. My heart sank as I realized that Nalu was nowhere to be found.

I stopped a passerby, a kind old man who was walking his own dog, and asked him if he had seen Nalu.

"Sorry, dear, I haven't seen your dog," he replied. "But don't worry, I'm sure she'll come back to you soon."

But I couldn't stop worrying. I felt guilty for letting her off the leash and now she was lost. I hoped that someone had found her and had seen her tag with my phone number.

I continued to search for her, calling out her name, but all I heard was the sound of the wind blowing through the trees. I was exhausted, but I couldn't give up. I had to find Nalu, no matter what.

I was heartbroken when I got back home. I sat on my couch, tears streaming down my face, and thought about Nalu. She was my only friend in this new city, and now she was gone.

Days went by, and I still hadn't heard anything about Nalu. I was losing hope when suddenly, I received a text message from a girl named Victoria.

"Hi, I found your dog Nalu! She was following me and my dog Chili in the park. I have her safe at my house. Let me know if you want to come and get her."

I couldn't believe it. I jumped off the couch and immediately replied, thanking her and asking for her address.

When I arrived at Victoria's house, I was overwhelmed with gratitude. She had taken such good care of Nalu, and the two dogs were now playing happily together in the backyard.

"Thank you so much for finding Nalu," I said to Victoria. "I don't know what I would have done without her."

Victoria smiled and replied, "Don't worry about it. I'm just glad she's safe. And hey, maybe we could hang out sometime. Get to know each other?"

I was taken aback by her kindness. "Really? That would be amazing. I don't have many friends in this city."

"Great! Let's exchange numbers and set something up," she said.

As we exchanged numbers, I felt a glimmer of hope in my heart. Maybe losing Nalu had led me to a new friend after all.

The next day, Victoria and I met at a park with our dogs. We chatted about our pets and how happy we were to have found each other.

As we talked, Victoria mentioned that she was the bassist in a famous rock band called Måneskin. I was surprised and impressed, and we started talking more about her music career.

But then, something shifted in the conversation. I felt a different kind of energy coming from Victoria, a certain intensity in the way she was looking at me. It made me feel a bit uneasy, like maybe she was attracted to me.

I tried to shake off the feeling and focus on the conversation, but it was hard to ignore. I couldn't tell if I was imagining things or if there was really something there.

After a while, we decided to head back home. Victoria walked me to my apartment and we said goodbye, exchanging a quick hug. But as I turned to leave, she grabbed my arm and said, "Hey, can I be honest with you?"

"Sure," I replied, feeling a bit nervous.

"I just wanted to say that I find you really attractive," she said, her eyes searching mine.

I was taken aback, unsure of what to say. It was our first meeting, and I didn't know how to respond.

"Um, thank you," I said, my cheeks turning pink.

Victoria smiled, looking a bit embarrassed. "Sorry, that was probably too forward. I just wanted to be honest with you."

I nodded, still feeling a bit awkward. But despite the unexpected turn in our conversation, I was glad to have made a new friend in Victoria.

I couldn't stop thinking about Victoria even when I was playing with Nalu. She was so nice, talented, and beautiful. And even though I had never been in a relationship with a girl before, I found myself drawn to her.

The next day, I woke up to a text message from Victoria. My heart raced as I read her words.

"Hey, I'm sorry for what I said yesterday. I don't want to make things awkward between us. I really value your friendship and I don't want to lose that."

I felt relieved that she had reached out to me, but at the same time, a small part of me was disappointed. I had been hoping that maybe Victoria felt the same way I did.

I decided to take a chance and be honest with her. I replied to her message, "It's okay. Actually, I wanted to tell you that I find you attractive too."

I held my breath as I hit send, unsure of how she would react.

To my surprise, Victoria replied almost immediately. "Really? I didn't expect that. But I'm glad you told me. Maybe we could go out sometime and see where things go?"

My heart raced with excitement. I couldn't believe that this was happening.

"I would love that," I replied, feeling a surge of confidence.

As I put my phone down, Nalu jumped onto my lap, wagging her tail. I smiled down at her, feeling grateful for her and for the unexpected turn my life had taken.

Victoria and I went on our first date to a cozy Italian restaurant. We talked and laughed over plates of pasta, and I felt like we had known each other for years. After dinner, we took a walk through the park with Nalu and Chili, enjoying the warm evening breeze.

As Victoria walked me back to her place, she asked me a question that caught me off guard. "Is it okay if you stay over tonight?" she asked, her eyes locked on mine.

I hesitated for a moment, but then I nodded. "Yeah, sure. That sounds great," I said, my heart racing with anticipation.

As we entered her apartment, Nalu ran off to play with Chili while Victoria and I stood in the doorway. Without warning, she leaned in and kissed me passionately. I felt a rush of heat and desire coursing through my body as we kissed, and I knew that I wanted to be with her.

We spent the rest of the night together, holding each other close as we drifted off to sleep. I felt safe and loved in her arms, and I knew that this was just the beginning of something amazing.

The next morning, as we lay tangled up in each other, Victoria whispered in my ear, "I'm so glad you're here with me."

I smiled and hugged her tightly. "Me too," I whispered back.

As we got up and started our day, I couldn't help but feel grateful for this unexpected turn of events. Who knew that losing Nalu for a brief moment would lead me to the love of my life?
