chapter 18

*short chapter*

after about 30 minutes your mothers short simple funeral service was over. and everyone had left you, you didn't know who to ask for help so you tried to work with what you had. you were walking down the street back to Rick's house when Carl suddenly called your name out.

"y/n!" he shouted
"yeah?" you asked turning around to look at him
"i think i know what happened to your mom." he said quietly. your heart sank and all you could see was black. as a flashback rushed back.

"please be safe" you told your mom smiling at her
"im just going a quick walk" she smiled at you
"I know but it's dangerous out there" you replied
"i haven't died yet, and your not gonna lose me for a while" she said as she gave you a quick hug and headed out of the prison gates.

about 2 hours had passed and it was fully dark out now. there was no signs of your mother or anyone for that matter. you were worried about her.
"daryl" you said standing in front of the man's cell
"ye?" he asked
"moms still not back yet" you sighed
"she may have found a place to stay until daylight" he said hiding the worrisome tone
"your right" you smiled and walked back to your own cell and laid down.

please be safe mom. you thought. she would be of course, she was tough.

you snapped back into reality as Carl was reaching out to grab your hand
"cmon" he said
"wait, what do you know?" you asked
"it's a long story, cmon i know a place"he said grabbing your hand leading you away.
Carl knew what happened to your mom? you felt sick to your stomach. nothing felt right about this. after all, how would he know anything?

this is like shorter than short 😭 but i wanted to post smth bc I try to post at least once everyday and jus let me tell you, PLOT TWIST NEXT CHAPTER IS CRAZY ‼️‼️‼️‼️ and why does papa carl know what happened to your mom... spoiler, he killed her 😜‼️ JKJK he didn't 😊😊
