chapter 22

*carls pov/3rd person*

*carl's pov:
y/n hasn't came out of her room in 3 days. maggie left food for her and water but she never opened the door.

i knocked on her door and there was no answer, so i tried the door knob. it wasn't locked so i walked right in
"y/n?" i said. no answer. where is she?
"y/n? are you in there?" i said stepping toward the bathroom in her room. still no answer. we hadn't been getting along really good here recently because she's jealous of enid but i still cared for her.

i ran downstairs to maggie
"maggie" i said hurriedly
"what's up carl?" she asked smiling at him
"y/n, she's g-gone" i said looking down
"gone where?" maggie asked setting down her glass
"i don't know" i said my voice shaking a little
"how long has she been gone?" Maggie asked walking towards me
"I don't think she ever came here" i said. i mean it made sense, when she stormed off from enid said she was super upset. i can't believe i didn't check on her, how stupid could i be.

i was in the middle of blaming myself when maggie finally spoke up again
"well we better get the others to help us go lookin for her" she said
i could tell she was worried, even if she didn't didn't get along well with y/n she was worried. and that made me happy, i was happy y/n had people who still cared about her even if she didn't think she did.

third person :

maggie and carl went to find rick to let him know y/n was missing. they found him with daryl
"whatta ya mean the girl is missin?" daryl asked
"she hasn't been in her room for at least 2 days it seems" carl told him
"why the hell are we standin round here then?" daryl asked picking up his bow.
"let's go find the girl" he said again
"any idea where she might've went?" rick asked looking at carl

carl thought for a moment. 'shit' he thought. if only he wouldn't have gotten so distracted by enid
"uh no" he said finally.
"maybe daryl could track her?" maggie suggested
"depends if there's footprints" he said coldly heading to the gate and the rest followed.
"ya gotta listen and look for everything i tell ya" he ordered them as he noticed a smaller footprint and bent down near it

"this look like her size?" daryl asked gesturing to the print
"looks like it" maggie said
"i don't know" carl said pausing "are you sure her feet are that small?" he asked
"it's not worth a risk to check out" rick said trying to ease the tension he could feel.
"ya your right dad" carl said standing beside daryl.

hey miss me??? 😜 anyway the story is finally gonna stop being such a slow-burn soon cause carl is realizing your better than enid !!
also so sorry it took forever to finally publish a chapter which also seems short asf and unfinished, but it's finished ! it's meant to be a cliffhanger. love y'all 💓- lex
