Light Unbridled- Chapter 5: Under My Thumb Part 2

*The scene opens with Johnny and Hayden sitting across from each other at the cafe table. This is the second time this has happened, and no one except Johnny is aware of this.*

Hayden: So, what did you want to talk about?

Johnny: I have some information for you.

Hayden: What kind of information?

Johnny: Information that will help you understand what went on back at the reunion.

Hayden: You were there?

Johnny: I was.. around. That’s not important, however. What is important is that I have answers.

Hayden: Okay, what first?

Johnny: First, I need to ask you:

*Johnny leans across the table and lowers his voice.*

Johnny: Have you been able to manifest your stand, yet?

Hayden: How do you know about that?

Johnny: I happen to be a stand user myself.

Hayden: You are? What’s your ability, then?

Johnny: You can’t expect me to tell you my ability when you don’t even know your own.

Hayden: . . . Fair enough, I guess.

Johnny: So, have you or have you not been able to manifest your stand?

Hayden: I haven’t. I don’t even know the first thing about stands, other than that only stand users can see other stands.

Johnny: Most of the time.

Hayden: Most of the time?

Johnny: Yup. There are exceptions to the rules.

Hayden: Hm. What other exceptions are there?

Johnny: None that are important right now. I only brought up that exception because I believe it could relate to you.

Hayden: Wait, are you saying you think you know what my stand is?

Johnny: I’m not entirely sure, but I know how we can find out.

Hayden: How?

Johnny: The guy who attacked you back at the reunion, he didn’t happen to have a pair of blue lense glasses, did he?

Hayden: Yeah, he did, why?

Johnny: Those glasses aren’t just any glasses. They’re very important, and very powerful.

Hayden: I thought so. It seemed like the guy used them to profile Ozzy and get a bunch of information.

Johnny: The glasses are able to scan any living beings and tell the wearer everything about them. The man who attacked you, however, wasn’t aware of another ability they have.

Hayden: And that would be..?

Johnny: Those glasses can find out what someone’s stand is, or what it’s going to be.

*Hayden leans closer.*

Hayden: You serious?

Johnny: Dead serious. You wouldn’t happen to know where those glasses are, would you?

*Hayden remains silent for a moment, before finally answering.*

Hayden: No. They were destroyed when Ozzy killed the guy.

Johnny: Is that so? That’s a real shame.

Hayden: Right.

Johnny: If that’s the case, I really can’t help you.
