*The scene opens with a younger Jodi sitting by a hospital bed. In the bed is her mother who is now dying of AIDS. Five years have passed since Jonte's Death.*

Jodi: I'm here mo-... It feels wrong to call you that. I'm here Sarah, can you hear me?

Sarah: Yes baby I can hear you.

Jodi: Do you know what's wrong with you? I've asked the doctors but they won't tell me anything.

Sarah: It's a disease called AIDS. I guess I got it from using those needles all the time.

Jodi: Well maybe if you stopped the drugs and instead paid attention to your children you would be fine right now. Dad and Jonte might even still be alive.

Sarah: Jonte's actions were not my fault! That boy was unstable to begin with.

Jodi: You're the reason he was unstable! You just stood by as Dad beat us. You watched as Dad forced Jonte into a cage. You never stopped Dad.

Sarah: Because I couldn't!

Jodi: You what?

Sarah: I couldn't stop him. I was too weak. Too afraid. I was scared that he would kill me if I tried to stop him?

Jodi: I see. So you were worried about being killed but not worried about him potentially killing your children?

Sarah: I was worried he might kill you. But I figured if I was there he would hold back a little bit.

Jodi: Because holding back equals beating people to the brink of death. Leading them to become suicidal.

Sarah: I'm sorry, Jodi! I know there's no excuse for what happened! But what can I do now? Nothing! It happened! There's no changing that!

Jodi: Do you even know what happened to Jonte that day?

Sarah: All I know is your brother killed my husband.

Jodi: I watched it as it happened. I saw Jonte crying while trying to help Dad, trying to desperately save him only for Dad to be ripped to pieces in front of him.

Sarah: So Jonte didn't kill David?

Jodi: I'm not sure. I do think somehow Jonte's hatred caused Dad to die. But I don't think Jonte even knew it was because of him.

Sarah: Jonte never explained to me what happened!

Jodi: Because you didn't let him! You called the cops to come arrest him. You gave up on him!

Sarah: I didn't give up on him!

Jodi: Yes you did! You didn't even try to hear what he had to say. You simply wanted him gone!

Sarah: I was scared that he was going to hurt us!

Jodi: No you were scared he was going to hurt you. You never cared about either of us. Never loved us. You left us at that house to struggle and fight for ourselves!

*As Jodi continues her rant a weird figure begins forming behind her. It has hands pressed against its temples and its chest.*

Jodi: You couldn't care less if you came home and we were gone, or better yet dead. You probably would've loved it if we died because then there would be no one you were supposed to care about.

Sarah: I did love you though.

Jodi: Yeah right. The only thing you ever loved were those fucking drugs!

*The figure then grabs Sarah's head and presses against her temples, Sarah then disappears right in front of Jodi.*

Jodi: What? Mom? Where'd you go?
