*"Careful not to stray too far, o errant heart. You may lose sight of those who matter, and may miss their final moments on this earth. Life is so fragile, isn’t it? I do sincerely hope you cherish the time you have left. It is much more limited than you would think."*

*The scene opens with Penrose and Bryce inside of a police cruiser. Penrose is driving while Bryce sits in the back seat.*

Bryce: So, uh… what exactly am I helping you with? You kinda just dragged me along.

Penrose: You remember Lydia?

Bryce: Your assistant? Yeah, what about her?

Penrose: First of all, she's not my assistant.

Bryce: Huh? You two have been working together this entire time for the investigation, haven’t you?

Penrose: Not exactly. She was just an informant. Not sure yet why she told you that she was my assistant. How did she convince you?

Bryce: She told me she came to see me and ask questions on your behalf.

Penrose: And so you just believed she was working with me?

Bryce: I had no reason to believe otherwise, did I?

Penrose: Jesus, this situation really is a mess. Well, I believe she might be a stand user with malicious intent. What do you think?

Bryce: I think we know the answer to that, considering she's been interfering with your investigation. I can’t think of any other reason she’d do that.

Penrose: We need to make sure. If she is against us, then we have a problem.

Bryce: What would happen if we killed her? She might be dangerous, if she really is a stand user.

Penrose: You wanna kill a woman who is in police records as an informant?

Bryce: I don’t want to kill anyone. It’s just… maybe as a last resort?

Penrose: Well, you don't need to be a genius to know that we wouldn’t get away with it.

Bryce: So what are we gonna do?

Penrose: I currently have her being held somewhere nearby for questioning, and that’s why I need your help. So far, she's refusing to talk to me.

*Bryce mumbles “who can blame her”. Penrose gives a mean glance towards Bryce through the mirror. Bryce notices and backs down a little.*

Bryce: Look, you were questioning us about this whole Lucy situation not too long ago, and almost all of us refused to talk.

Penrose: Yeah, and look where that got us.

Bryce: Well maybe if you didn't come off as an asshole, we would've been more willing to help.

Penrose: You seem perfectly willing to help right now. What changed?

Bryce: You weren't an asshole for once. That's what changed.

Penrose: Yeah? Well sorry to tell you this kid, but you're gonna have to deal with the asshole version of me again for the next couple of hours.

Bryce: Sorry, hours? Christ, how long will this take?

Penrose: How do you think this works? We go in there and ask her how her day is? Wanna stop and get her some flowers? No. We have to fully question her. Get everything we can out of her. It could take a long time.

Bryce: The only way I see that happening is if we force the answer out of her.

*Penrose glances at Bryce.*
