*Austin's POV*
*few days later*

I walked into my house and heard soft music coming from the kitchen. "Mom?" I said.

"In the kitchen, baby." She said.

I threw my bag on the floor and walked into the kitchen, stopping dead in my tracks and smiling when I saw Madison leaning against the counter.

"Mads!" I said.

She smiled real big and jumped in my arms, hugging me. "Awesome Austin!"

"What the hell are you doing here?" I said, hugging her.

She kissed my cheek and dropped out of my arms. "It's a long story." She smiled at my mom and then looked back at me. "But I have some good news."

I held her hands. "What?"

She smile really big. "Your mom asked me to move in. Permanently."

I smiled and looked at Mom. "For real, Mom?"

She smiled. "Yeah."

I let go of Madison and hugged my mom. "Thank you, Mom!"

She hugged me. "No need to thank me, baby." She pulled away. I'll let you guys catch up." She walked past Madison and kissed her head, then left the room.

I went to the back door and opened it. "Come on, let's go outside."

We went out to the back porch and sat in the porch swing. Madison smiled at me. "I missed you so much."

I smiled. "What happened? I mean, I'm so happy you're here but what's going on?"

She sighed and shrugged. "I was just miserable there. I had to sleep in the living room. I had no personal space." She sat back and pulled her legs up, crossing her legs Indian style. "I love Mike and Janey but I wanted to be back here." She smiled at me. "I wanted to be home."

I smiled and hugged her again. "This is your home. It always will be. You're always welcome in this house."

She blushed and her hand rested on my leg. "It's not this house. It's you." She smiled and looked away from me. "You're my home."

I put my arm around her and rested my head on top of her head. "I love you, Mads."

The back door opened and Dad popped his head out. "Austin, I need you to run up to the hardware store for me so I can finish fixing the upstairs guest room for Madison."

I nodded. "Okay."

"I'll go with you." Madison said, standing up. "Let me get my purse."

She went in the house and I stood up. Dad smiled. "You know that girl is in love with you, right?"

I chuckled. "No. She's not, Dad."

He handed me money. "If you say so."

Madison came over and smiled. "Ready?"
