*next day*
*Austin's POV*I sat on the front porch waiting for Madison. My mom was right, she was really pretty.
After a few more minutes of waiting I saw her walking over here. She wore tight black jeans, black converse, and a white t-shirt. Her long brown hair was really wavy and reached the middle of her back.
She came over and smiled. "Hey. Thanks for offering to drive me."
I stood up and walked down the steps, taking her back pack. "No problem."
We walked to my car and I opened the door for her, shutting it when she climbed in. The ride to school was quiet. We said a few things here and there but mostly we didn't talk. When we pulled up to the school she broke the silence.
"I'm nervous, honestly." She said.
I shut off the car and turned to her. "How come?"
She shrugged. "I don't know. What if no one likes me?"
I smiled. "Well I like you. And Alan likes you. Do you have you your schedule yet?"
"No. I have to go get it from the office." She said.
I nodded. "Okay. I'll walk you there."
After she got her schedule I noticed we had almost every class together except one. We sat together in every class. By lunch time she seemed more relaxed.
"Who do you sit with?" She asked as we walked in the lunch room.
"Alan and some other guys. Right over there under that pear tree." I said.
We walked over and Alan smiled. "Hey guys."
Madison smiled. "Hi."
We sat down together and I motioned to the guy across the table. "That's Scotty. Scotty, this is Madison. She just moved in next door."
Scotty smiled. "Nice to meet you."
The guy in between Scotty and Madison held his hand out. "I'm Mark."
She shook his hand and smiled shyly. "Madison."
"How do you like it here so far?" Alan asked.
She shrugged. "It's a lot different from my old school."
"She just moved here from Michigan." I said.
Scotty took a bite of his sandwich. "I used to live there when I was a kid." He said, his mouth full.
"Were you popular there?" Mark asked.
She chuckled. "Far from it."
He smiled and nodded. "Then you'll fit right in with us." He held his arms out. "Welcome to the misfits table."
She laughed and nodded. "It's nice to have people to talk to though. I didn't have any friends back in Michigan."
"How come?" I asked.
She shrugged. "I was from a really poor neighborhood and went to a rich person school. They didn't like me."
I shook my head. "That's a shame."
Alan looked at me. "So are we hanging out today?"
I nodded. "Yeah. I was thinking we could go to the beach or something."
All the guys agreed.
I looked at Madison. "Wanna come?"
She nodded and smiled. "Sure."
---
"Mark! Don't!" Madison said, giggling and running away.
I smiled and grabbed Madison around the waist, holding her up in front of Mark.
"No!" She yelled and laughed harder.
Mark splashed her and I threw her farther into the water.
She jumped up and splashed me, and then jumped on Mark's back. "You jerk!" She said, smiling.
Mark carried her out of the water and onto the sand. "I'm hungry."
She jumped off his back and went over to the big tote bag she brought. "I brought pb&js." She said, handing us each a sandwich.
"Thanks, Mads." I said.
She smiled. "Mads? I like that."
I smiled. "It fits you."
I sat down and she sat down next to me. The other guys ran around the beach, throwing bits of their sandwiches at each other and jumping in the water.
Madison looked at them and chuckled. "You have some cool friends."
I nodded. "Yeah. They're awesome. Did you have a best friend back home?"
She nodded and looked out at the water. "Yeah. Her name was Becca. She passed away a few months before we moved."
I put my head down. "I'm so sorry. How'd it happen?"
"Car accident." She said. She shrugged. "My dad was going to pick her up and they got hit."
I looked at her. "I'm sorry."
She shook her head and smiled. "It's okay. Everything happens for a reason."
I nodded. "Are you close with your dad?"
"No." She said bluntly. She shook her head. "Not at all."
"Your mother?" I asked.
She shrugged. "We used to be close. But not anymore. Ever since I turned 11 she doesn't like me anymore."
I sighed. "I bet that's not true."
She chuckled. "It's true."
"Madison!" Alan yelled. "Get your ass in the water!"
She smiled and stood up, taking my hand and pulling me up. "Come on."
I let go of her hand and pointed to the dock. "Bet you won't jump off that. It gets really deep over there."
She smiled bigger. "I bet you won't."
I smiled. "Okay. Fine. Let's go over there. Whoever jumps first wins."
"What does the winner get?"
I shrugged. "Five dollars."
She nodded. "You're on." Then she booked it towards the dock.
I ran after her, trying to catch up but she was fast. She reached the dock before me and jumped right in, not hesitating at all. I laughed and jumped in after her. We both resurfaced and she smiled, grabbing on to me and clinging to me.
"It's a lot deeper than I thought." She said, laughing and wrapping her legs around my waist.
I smiled and tried to keep us both up. "I'll take you over there." I swam to the actual beach where the guys were and she let go of me, standing up and pulling her hair up into a pony tail. My eyes gazed her body and I felt a little something. She was tall and tan and had a really nice body. Big chest, flat belly and big thighs and hips. Her butt was huge.
She smiled at me. "You owe me five bucks, chump."
I laughed and splashed her. "Yeah yeah." I looked up at the sky and splashed Alan. "It's getting dark, man."
He nodded. "Okay. Let's get going."
---
We took the guys home and when we pulled up in my driveway Madison looked at her house. She got tense and sighed. "Can you drive me tomorrow?"I nodded. "Yeah. I can drive you everyday."
She smiled at me and nodded. "Thank you." She undid her her seatbelt and then hugged me. "I had fun today." She kissed my cheek and got out of the car, walking across her lawn and going inside.
I smiled. Madison was really cool. And unbelievably beautiful. I found myself getting really excited to see her tomorrow.
