It's been a little more than a week since Luke asked me to move in. I told my Mom the next morning that it was happening, and although she seemed sad, she couldn't say "I'll never see you anymore," because really, she doesn't anyways. She couldn't say no, either. I'm eighteen, and I've been at Lukes almost every day for a long time now. Nothing would be different.
"Babe," Luke groaned, carrying a box of something. "Help me out, please," He mumbled, nodding his chin towards his car, which had a box left in it. I grinned, watching him carry it to the front door of his- our- house.
I grabbed the last box, which was pretty light, and managed to close the car door with my hip. There wasn't a lot of boxes in total, and most of them were small, but I really wasn't looking forward to unpacking the few things i brought along. Thankfully, I didn't have to bring half of the stuff in my room, because a lot of it was stuff I'd be sharing with Luke.
"I'm so tired," Luke sighed loudly, turning towards me after setting down his box, "I just want to sleep."
"Yeah, me too."
"We could sleep together."
I fake yawned, glancing at him, "Been there, done that."
He rolled his eyes, but broke out into a smile, "I was trying to set a mood."
"There wasn't a mood to set, Luke." I murmured, cupping his cheeks and kissing him softly. His arms wrapped around my waist, pulling me closer to his body. When we pulled away, his lips were bright red and his cheeks were a pale pink. I wouldn't be surprised if mine were, too.
"Is there a mood now?" He asked, wiggling his eyebrows with a grin tugging at the corners of his lips. His hand fiddled with the hem on the back of my shirt, lifting it slightly.
There was a knock on the door, which was still open, and Lukes eyes quickly looked up, away from mine. When I turned, I saw Calum standing in the door frame, sporting a wide smile.
"Am I interrupting?" He asked, laughing after he said it. Neither of us got to respond before he invited himself in, shoving his hands into his pants pockets as he looked around the room. "Whats going on?"
This time, Calum let Luke answer. He let one arm fall from my waist as he looked around at the few boxes on the floor, "Jem moved in."
"Wha- when did this come into place?" He asked quickly, his mouth in an 'o' shape, "Why didn't you tell us?"
Luke and I shrugged, glancing at each other, "We're still a little caught up in the idea of it.."
Calums grin fell back onto his face, "Thats great, you guys. But, hey, I have some news."
**
Calum pulled Luke aside for a few minutes. I could still see them, and Lukes facial expressions changed every so often. They'd go from what looked like confusion to being upset to looking surprised.
Before they went to talk privately, Calum mentioned to us that his sessions and weekly visits had officially ended. He seemed excited and extremely relieved about it, and I felt really happy for him. I saw how pained he looked when he told me about it the night I was at his house, so now that he was nearing the end of that road, made me relieved for him, too. Although he was still working out a few of the kinks in his life alone, they were all going in a positive direction. Luke looked like he was going to cry when Calum spoke, and when Calum noticed, he gave Lukes arm a light shove and called him lame. He returned it with a soft sniffle and he mumbled, "Shut up, I'm proud of you, you dick."
After they returned, the two boys kept giving each other glances and smiles that I couldn't identify.
"Whats going on?" I murmured, looking between the two of them frantically and in confusion.
Calum cleared his throat, sitting up straight, "I talked to Ashton, s'all. Everything is just.. going so good right now. He's going to talk to Michael later today, I think."
I nodded slowly, registering the thought. I forgot that they were slowly making up with Ashton, and I was beginning to feel happy about that, too. At first, I felt a little off about it all, but I was coming around to the idea. I'm not going to be the girl that makes their boyfriend choose someone over the other.. it's not right. I'll warm up to Ashton; it'll just take some time.
"I think everything is gonna go back to the way it was," Luke murmured, snaking one arm around my waist. He pressed his lips against my temple and smiled, "It's all gonna be okay again. Everything."
