Part 13:- (Love and sacrifice)

When Manik and Cabir went to Dhruv's room they saw him lying on the bed and talking to his girlfriend over the phone. Cabir clinched his nose seeing that and said,

"Typical lover boy. God knows what they talk about the whole day. If Harshad gets to know that he is going to propose to his sister, he will break his leg."

"As if I will let that happen. He has to face me before touching my brother. Now stop worrying about him and focus on our mission."

Cabir saluted him dramatically and said,

"Aya aya captain."

Then they went to Dhruv and Manik kept his hand on his shoulder. Seeing him he immediately cut the call and said,

"Buddy, I am so sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you. I would have told you everything. Actually I was scared thinking about your reaction, nothing else."

He thought Manik was still upset about today's incident. He already knew about them and secretly supported them by keeping Harshad away from them. if he was asked whom he loves the most among his brothers he would say it's his buddy without any second thought. It's just that he never expresses his feelings to anyone. Cabir slapped the back of Dhruv's head and said,

"Idiot, we are not here to talk about your secret love story which everyone knows. We are here to talk about Bhai's marriage."

"Why? What happened?"

Manik glared at Cabir for slapping his dear brother and said,

"We don't like her and we don't want her as our sister in law. We want you to be on our side in this decision."

"I didn't even meet her once. How can I say if she is good or bad, If she is perfect to be our sister in law or not?"

"There are many reasons that she is not perfect to be our sister in law. I am just stating the main reason you can hear from Cabir. He is going to get more info about her."

"So what's the reason?"

"She left her family for some reason and never saw their faces again. A girl who couldn't adjust in her own family, how could you think that she can adjust in our joint family? If Abhi gets married to her, she will definitely try to stay in a separate house. We don't want to lose our brother because of her, right?"

"Look buddy, we all have an emotional attachment between us. No matter how different we are from each other, we still live under the same roof. But we can't expect someone to adjust between us. If she wants to live separately then we should respect her decision. Maybe we will miss our brother but think about him once. He will be happy with his wife. He already made a lot of sacrifices for all of us. We can't ask for more from him. Just think about it once."

"What about my sacrifice? Didn't I lose my mother because of you all? Didn't I share my father's love with you all? Didn't I adjust between you? I didn't tell him to not marry anyone or something like that. I just said she is not the one. I just want you all to be with me as a family. That's it."

"I can understand your feelings buddy. But you can't force anyone to be with you. If he wants to go he has the right to go. We can't stop him."

Manik didn't want to force him to be on their side. He knew that he would never do or say anything wrong. So he left there.

At Night

They all gathered in the dining room for dinner when Cabir said,

"Dad, we need to talk to you."

"Yeah say."

"We don't want Bhai to marry that girl."

"Why?"

"She left her family for some reason and never saw their faces again. We don't think she can adjust in our joint family."

Abhi was prepared for this, before Raj could say something he said,

"Don't worry, after marriage we are going to stay in our penthouse."

Manik immediately punched on the table and said,

"See I already told you right? Actually I think he was just looking for a reason to leave this house only. After all, it's not his own house."

Raj glared at him and said,

"Manik, behave yourself."

"Why should I? Ask them, nobody wants him to marry that girl and you only said that the majority has the right to take any decision in this house."

"I am not unaware of how you might get the majority. Moreover, it's his life. Let him decide. We are none to take any decision behalf of him."

"Then I would like to ask you some questions which I never did. Would you answer me?"

"Yeah, say."

"If you knew that one day they all will leave us then why did you divorce my mom? You could have sent them to an orphanage and lived happily with your wife and son."

"First of all that was our mutual decision. You have nothing to do with it. Secondly, they were my nephews. They were my responsibility. How could I leave them in any orphanage and live their lives like some orphans?"

"Then what was my fault? Why did I have to lose my mom and share my dad's love with all of them."

Raj didn't have any answers for this question. When Manik didn't get any answers from him, he again said,

"They were my cousins, not my own siblings. Okay fine. I got your point of view. You couldn't leave them in an orphanage. But you could have put them into the boarding school, but you didn't do that. Why so? I never had any reason to share my dad's love with all of them. When I made a sacrifice for them they also should sacrifice something for me, right?"

Manik suddenly stood up and announced loudly,

"Whoever wants to leave this house, they are free to go. I won't stop anyone but as the founder of Fab5, the band of brothers, I am announcing that the band is officially closed today."
