Part 18:- (Accidental kiss)

At Night

Abhi, Arya, Cabir and Dhruv sat on the dining chairs to have dinner. Raj had his dinner in his room only. He wasn't feeling well so he slept early. But nobody dared to go to Manik's room and call him for dinner. Actually when Manik said they are just his cousin and he never had a reason to share his dad's love with them, it hurt their ego. That's why they all stopped talking to him. He also didn't try to talk to them for once. So things were sour from both sides. When Abhi noticed that he said,

"Where is Manik?"

"He is in his room only."

"Let's go and call him for dinner."

"He must be sleeping, let him sleep."

"Something is fishy. He never sleeps early. Let's go and check."

When they went to his room they saw him sleeping on the bed. When Abhi touched his shoulder to wake him up he found him burning in fever.

"He has a high fever. Manik....Manik, wake up."

When Manik didn't respond to him, he got scared and said,

"Cabir, call doctor uncle immediately."

When Cabir was going to call the doctor Arya snatched the phone from his hand and said,

"Did you forget that you have a doctor in your house only? If you call the doctor uncle then he will take time to come and he will prescribe the same medicine so let me handle it. Where is the thermometer?"

Dhruv pulled out a fast aid kit from the desk drawer and gave a thermometer to him. He put the thermometer in his mouth and waited for sometime. Then he pulled out the thermometer from his mouth and said,

"104°F. Dhruv, bring a bowl of iced water and a small piece of cloth. Bhai, dip the cloth in iced water, squeeze it a little and then keep it on his forehead. Keep repeating the process after a few minutes. Cabir, cook some soups from him, he needs to eat something before having medicine. I am going to the pharmacy."

Arya brought some medicine and came back. Then he injected him with medicine and waited for some time. Then he again put the thermometer in his mouth and saw his fever subside a little. He started calling him,

"Manik...Manik. Wake up."

Manik opened his eyes a little. Then made him sit on the bed and Cabir brought soup for him. Abhi made him drink the soup and Arya gave him some medicine. Then he fell asleep but neither they slept nor they left the room. They all sat beside him for the rest of the night and took care of him. Neither of them was perfect but their imperfections make them the cute siblings.

Next Morning

Manik suddenly woke up and started shouting,

"Oh no. I forgot to cut the cable connection."

Manik shouted so loudly that Abhi immediately woke up, Arya was sleeping on a chair, he fell down and Dhruv thought there was an earthquake so he started running here and there. But Cabir was still sleeping like an idiot. Even if there would be a real earthquake he won't wake up for sure. Abhi was worried for Manik. He touched his forehead to check his temperature and said,

"What happened? Are you feeling sick? Should I call the doctor?"

"Forget about the doctor and call the cable operator right now."

Dhruv stopped running and said,

"Don't worry about the cable connection. I already called the cable operator and told him to cut our cable connection."

"What about the router?"

Arya stood up rubbing his bum and said,

"Cabir said that he will take care of it."

Abhi shook Cabir to wake him up,

"Cabir...Cabir, wake up."

Arya slapped his own forehead and said,

"He won't wake up like this. Watch me."

Cabir was sleeping, hugging a pillow tightly. Arya went behind him and kicked on his bum. He immediately fell down off the bed and started shouting in pain.

"What the hell? Who kicked me?"

Manik glared at him and said,

"I did. Now tell me, what did you do to stop our wifi connection?"

"Oh, I actually poured water on the router. Now that device won't work for sure."

"And what about the newspaper?"

They all looked at each other, which means they all forgot about the newspaper delivery boy. At that time they heard the cycle bell of the newspaper delivery boy and they all immediately rushed downstairs. Manik was running faster than all of them. When he opened the main door and ran outside he dashed with Nandini, fell on top of her and accidentally their lips touched each other's lips. Abhi decided to ignore the matter and focus on the delivery boy. So he went to the delivery boy and took the newspaper from him. Arya started reading the headlines of the news article when Dhruv was looking at Manik and Nandini who were still laying on the floor looking into each other's eyes. He turned towards Cabir who was looking at them only and said,

"Don't tell me they kissed each other."

"Wait, let me check."

Cabir the great prankster couldn't leave the chance to tease his brother. He also laid on the floor and started measuring the gap between their lips. Then he pulled out his phone and immediately clicked a picture. When the flush light fall on them they immediately stood up and Manik said,

"I am sorry."

He literally ran away from there. Abhi and Arya found the article and burned it. Then Abhi gave the news paper to Cabir & Arya and said,

"You know what to do right?"

"Aye aye captain."

They went inside the house and started fighting. Arya said,

"Cabir, I said give me the news paper."

"Nope. I took it first."

"Shut up. There is an important article about medical science. I have to read it."

"There is some interesting articles about the Bollywood stars. I have to read them."

They were holding the newspaper from both sides and having an argument when Raj came there and said,

"Stop fighting and give me the news paper."

Raj forward his hand to take the newspaper but at the same time they both pulled the newspaper with full force and the newspaper got teared from the middle. Raj glared at them and shouted loudly,

"Both of you, get out of my sight right now."

That's it, their task was done so they both immediately ran away.
