The next day, Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny and Y/N were in the common room.

They all sat together in the empty room, with the Half-blood Prince's book laying on the small table in front of them.

They all looked at it, as if it could attack them at any moment.

Ginny: Harry, you need to get rid of it.
She said with determination.

Harry: I will.
He said.

Y/N: You have to do it today. Stop making up excuses. Didn't you learn from what happened with Riddle's Diary? This book is evil. It caused us a lot of trouble already. Get rid of it, or I swear I'm going to turn it to ashes.
He said sternly.

Harry nodded.

Ginny then grabbed his hand.
Ginny: Come on. Let's put it where no one will ever find it again.
She said, as she grabbed the book, and left the room with Harry.

Hermione sat beside Y/N.
Hermione: How's Malfoy doing?
She asked, nudging his shoulder.

Y/N: Better, thank goodness.
He said, smiling a little.

Y/N: He's recovering pretty fast. But he's too bored to stay in the Hospital Wing, so I guess I'll have to try and persuade Madame Pomfret, and see if she'll let him leave.
He added.

Hermione: Do you really think she'll agree?
She asked skeptically.

Y/N: I won't know unless I try.
He said, grinning.

Some time later, Harry came back.
Harry: Y/N, I have an idea. Maybe we can make Slughorn finally spill the beans.
He said, beaming at him.

Y/N looked at him in disbelief.
Y/N: Really?!
He asked.

Harry put his hand in his pocket, and then took out the small vial that contained the Felix Felicis.

Harry: I think it's finally time we put this to good use.
He said, smiling.

Hermione: I thought you had used it to make Ron win the match!
She said.

Ron: Yeah!
He said.

Harry smirked at her.
Harry: It was just a Confundus Charm, Hermione.
He said.

Hermione and Ron's Jaws dropped upon hearing that.

Y/N facepalmed.

Y/N: Why didn't we think about this sooner? It would've made things a lot more easier!
He said.

Y/N: It's our last resort anyway. So either it works, and we make Slughorn talk, or we fail miserably, and we'll have to use force.
He added nonchalantly.

Harry: So... Which of us will drink it?
He asked.

Y/N: I don't think I'd be the best candidate for this, Harry. It's yours anyway, so you should be the one drinking it.
He said.

Harry nodded, and then drank it.
They all looked at him.

Hermione: How do you feel?
She cautiously asked.

Harry smiled widely.

Harry: Wonderful. Truly wonderful.
He said, getting up, and catching them by surprise.

Hermione: Remember; Slughorn eats early, and then he goes for a walk.
She said.

Harry: Alright.
He said, nodding.

Harry: I'm going to Hagrid's.
He then added.

They all looked at him with wide eyes.

Ron: What are you talking about! We can't afford to fail!
He said.

Harry: I know, but I also know it has to be like this. I don't really know how to explain it, but... just trust me, ok? I know what I'm doing. Or rather, the Felix knows.
He said.

Y/N sighed heavily.
Y/N: I'm going with him, just in case. Two heads are better than one.
He said.

With that, the twins left, heading to Hagrid's hut.

Halfway, though, they spotted Slughorn, acting suspiciously.

He was carefully trying to steal some herbs.

When he noticed them, he jumped in surprise.
Slughorn: For Merlin's beard, you almost gave me a heart attack! I thought it was Professor Sprout...
He said, clutching his chest.

Y/N: Oh, well.
He muttered under his breath.

Harry: Is that Venomous Tentacula, Sir?
He suddenly asked, pointing at the plant from which Slughorn tried to steal.

Slughorn nodded.

Harry: Is it precious, Sir?
He asked.

Slughorn: 10 galleons per leaf, if you find the right buyer. Not that I know how this circle of affairs works, though. I just need it for academical purposes, that is.
He said.

Y/N rolled his eyes.
Y/N: Sure thing... yeah, and I'm Merlin.
He thought.

Harry: Hmm... Personally, those plants always scared me.
He said, giving a last glance at the plant, before walking away.

Slughorn: Wiat a second, how did you two leave the castle?
He asked, making them stop.

They turned around.

Y/N: Uh... From the principal door? Just like any normal person would do?
He said, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

Harry: We're going to see Hagrid. He's a precious friend of ours, and we wanted to pay him a visit.
He said, ready to leave.

Slughorn: Harry, Y/N!
He yelled.

Harry&Y/N: Sir!
They both yelled back.

Slughorn: Don't you see the sun is setting? Certainly you do understand that I cannot let you two go there alone!
He said.

Harry: Then you should come with us!
