The twins were walking towards Hagrid's hut, with Slughorn tagging along.

Slughorn: Harry, Y/N, I must insist! We should head back to the castle!
He said, struggling to keep up with them.

Harry: It would be counterproductive, sir.
He said.

Slughorn: What makes you say that?
He asked.

Harry: I have no idea.
He said nonchalantly, as they finally reached their destination.

Y/N froze.

There was a giant, dead spider on the ground, laying on its back, just in front of Hagrid.

Y/N recognized it immediately.
It was Aragog.

Y/N: I can't believe I'd see this beast again...
He thought.

Hagrid looked at them, saddened.
Hagrid: Horace...
He muttered gloomly.

Slughorn: For Merlin's beard... Is that an Acromantula, Hagrid?
He asked.

Harry: Uh... I think it's a dead one.
He pointed out, making Y/N chuckle.

Slughorn: How did you menage to kill it, Hagrid?
He asked, greedily looking at it.

Hagrid looked at him, disdained.
Hagrid: Kill it? He was my closest friend!
He said.

Slughorn: Oh, I'm sorry-
He quickly said, but Hagrid cut him off.

Hagrid: No, no, don' be. Spiders are r'lly underestimated by everyone.
He said.

Y/N: I think it's because of the eyes.
He pointed out.

Harry: Or their claws.
He added, gesturing.

Y/N: Or their legs.
He added, deep in thought.

Hagrid: Yeah, all o' that.
He said, nodding absent mindly.

Slughorn: Hagrid, I wouldn't want to sound heartless, but do you think I could have a bit of its venom? You know, it's really rare... Just a vial, or maybe two... For academical purposes, of course.
He asked.

Hagrid: Well... I don' think he'll need it anymore.
He said.

Slughorn nodded.

Slughorn: Yeah, exactly.
He said, as he proceeded to collect the venom.

He filled two vials with it, and then walked back towards them, before turning around, looking at the spider.

Slughorn: Do you want me to say some words?
He asked.

Hagrid: Yes, please.
He said.

Slughorn: Did he have a family?
He asked.

Y/N: Oh, you bet he did.
He said, shivering lightly, as memories of being chased through the forest by countless spiders flashed in front of him.

Slughorn: Goodbye...
He said.

Hagrid: Aragog.
He said.

Slughorn then proceeded to give a short speech, but Y/N spaced out halfway.

Once he was done, they all went inside Hagrid's hut.

Hagrid and Slughorn started drinking, as they started chatting, and before they knew it, they were both drunk already.

Maybe a bit too much, since they were both singing like idiots.

Slughorn: I once had a golden fish... Francis. I really loved it. A student had gifted it to me. However, one day I went downstairs, and... Poof. He was gone. And his tank was empty. I suppose that's life. You keep going forward, and then, at some point... Poof.
He said, as Hagrid fell asleep, snoring loudly.

There was an embarrassing silence, now.

Slughorn looked at them.
Slughorn: I know why you're here. Both of you.
He said.

They looked at him.
Slughorn: But I can't give it to you. It would ruin me.
He said.

Harry: Do you know why we survived, Professor? Because our mother died for us. That's true. We are the only ones who can kill him. But to do that, we need to know what Riddle asked you, back then. It's the only way we have left.
He said.

Y/N looked at him.
Y/N: Be brave, Professor. Brave like her. Be brave, or the fishtank will remain empty.
He said.

Slughorn sighed, finally giving in.

Slughorn: Please, I beg of you. Don't think bad of me, when you'll see this. You have no idea of how he was, back then.
He said.

And with that, he extracted the memory, and put it into a small vial, before giving it to them.
