Mr and Mrs Unromantic

Precap: Sreeja got an onsite opportunity. But she was forced to cancel as her travel date and engagement date was on the same day. Dhanam refrained Sreeja from saying this to Venkat, stating marriage is important than her onsite. 

Sreeja who was initially angry at Venkat , then accepted the reality that she can't change whatever has happened. Still deep in her heart she was thinking that, had Venkat not come in to her life there would not be any disturbance to her onsite.

Days passed fast and her engagement date too came. As usual her mom and relatives asked her not to wear specs for engagement as it would look awkward in the photos. She was not comfortable with contact lens as she had once tried it and got itching and watery eyes because of it.

Both Sreeja and Venkat were busy with engagement rituals in doing namaskaram, changing the dresses, other engagement rituals. As per their custom, Sreeja's brother put engagement ring on Venkat's finger. Similarly, for Sreeja it was Subhi.

After the engagement was over, the priest asked them to get blessings from other elders and gave them a cup with akshadha.

Since the party hall was small and was also occupied with lot of chairs, they were not able to make all the elders stand at once and get their blessings. So they went to each couple separately.

As the ring exchange ceremony got over, most of the guests diverted to the dining room. Venkat's seemed to walk fast, with his long legs playing the role to catch them before they go for dining, while Sreeja found it difficult to cope with him , blame it on her saree and heavy braid on her head.

Venkat who noticed her missing near him, turned towards her and walked fast holding her hands. Sreeja felt different sensation as this is the first time she was experiencing a touch by another man other than her father and brother.

While walking she saw their height differences. He was lean and tall wearing a dark blue coat suit with specs which amped up his style. Whereas she was short just below his chest.

She remembered him saying he wore coat suit for his graduation in UK and then only now he is wearing. Talking about UK, her mind got diverted thinking at this time if engagement had not happened she would have been travelling in Emirates. But she chose to hide her emotions considering the guests.

Later the couples were asked to stand together and give pose with all the relatives and then a separate photo shoot. Both felt very nervous and elated as this is the first time they are standing in a stage with all the focus on them.

With the different feeling that aroused when their hands brushed, while giving different poses, the small touches, eye locks made venkat more shy. Seeing Venkat getting shy, Sreeja decided to tease him more by constantly looking at him.

Venkat asked the photographer for a different pose but sreeja wantedly said she need the same photo to be taken again. Venkat understood that she is wantedly doing all this.

After taking the same photo , Venkat wrapped his left hand around her little area of bare hip which was seen in her saree and even pressed little harder making her come stand close to him.

He was looking at the photographer and giving pose as if nothing had happened.Whereas Sreeja who was shocked with this sudden action of Venkat, felt a tickling sensation making it difficult to stand properly. The photographer asked her to stand properly and give the pose.

How will she be able to stand properly when Venkat slightly pinched her hip making her tickle more. The photographer got irritated with Sreeja for not standing properly.

"Madam, oru nalla pose idhu, konjam cooperate panunga madam. Seekaram mudichutu na train vera pudikanum , adutha function ku."

(Madam, please cooperate. I need to finish all this and catch train for my next event)

"Sreeja cooperate why are you doing like this?" asked Venkat as if he is not aware of what her problem is .

Sreeja tried to give a fake smile and at the same time managed to take Venkat's hand from her. But his grip was firm on her. She turned and looked at him towards her right, while he also turned to look at her. 

The photographer did not miss to capture this moment of both looking in to each other's eyes while standing close and Venkat holding her hip. He decided to have this photo given as frame to them.

"Sir next pose", said the photographer making them come out of trance. Venkat too removed his hand from her hip not wanting to make her more uncomfortable.

After taking ample amount of photos , and seeing other surprise videos as compliments and wishes, blessings, the couple had dinner at the last.

It was already late at night around 9.30 pm. Most of the relatives left after wishing the couples and it is now only Venkat and Sreeja's family who were busy packing their things to go to in their van.

Venkat , Sreeja and some youngsters from their side were all chatting together. Venkat thought of finding some alone time to talk with her but her parents urged her to get in to van as it was already late. Sreeja bid bye to everyone and sat in the front seat in the van.

Her cousins asked whether she informed Venkat about leaving to which she said no.

She was not used to all this and she even thought anyhow he would know that she will leave and it's pointless to say bye to him separately.

She is half morattu single and half unromantic. Deep in her heart she too had the romantic feelings but she thinks it's all useless and just attraction which  arise due to hormone issues and fade away after certain time.

Anyone who comes stating about of love life or talks on love , sreeja would give big lecture and advice making them rethink about falling in love.

She remembered Venkat's face who was expecting her to say something or at least talk alone. She thought not to hurt his feelings and decided to go meet him but was shy to say she wants to meet him.

All the luggage were getting loaded in to the van and her parents were busy as well. She saw still some of the seats in van are empty which means few of her relatives who said would come along with them are not boarded yet . Her mind was oscillating to go meet him or not before the van starts.
