Lena slapped the man and ran as best as she could.

The man has been making advances towards her, but she would tell him no. That night was the worst.

She ran to her room to get dressed to return home to her son.

As the door rattled, Kevin's eyes widened, his mother was not supposed to come home that early, he had been caught.

"Kevin? What are you doing?" Lena's eyes narrowed at her son.

"Mummy, I'm sorry I wanted to check something on the TV." He apologized, standing up and playing with his fingers.

"A cartoon? Really? Just go to sleep." She was exhausted and simply wanted sleep. Arguing or scolding her son's behavior was not on her list of things to do that night.

She took her shower and laid I bed, in no time sleep took her.

Lena trashed around in bed, relishing his past in a nightmare. His father was beating his mother and he simply stoof there and watch as his father beat his mother to death.

Lena woke up screaming, drenched in sweat. She had the same nightmare every night, a memory from her childhood that haunted her soul. She got up, startled, and walked to the kitchen to get some water. As she drank from the glass, she heard a noise coming from her son's room.

She tip-toed to Kevin's room and found him crying on the floor, holding a stuffed bunny. Lena sat down next to him and held him in her arms.

"What's wrong, sweetheart?" she asked, stroking his hair.

"I'm sorry, Mummy. I'm sorry for everything," he sobbed.

Lena's heart sank, she knew something was not right.

"Kevin, tell me what's going on? What have you done?" she asked, feeling a knot in her stomach.

"I... I did something bad," he whispered.

Lena felt a cold sweat coming over her body.

"What did you do, Kevin?" she asked, her voice trembling.

"I... I watched something I shouldn't have on TV. It was late at night and I couldn't sleep. I clicked on a video and it was... it was bad," he said, his voice shaking.

Lena's mind raced, what kind of video could her son have watched? Was he exposed to something explicit?

"Kevin, what video was it?" she asked, trying to remain calm.

"I don't want to say," he replied, burying his head in her chest.

Lena knew she had to get to the bottom of this. She gently pushed Kevin away and looked into his eyes.

"Kevin, you have to tell me what video it was. I'm not angry, I just need to know," she said, her voice steady.

After a few moments of silence, Kevin finally spoke up.

"It was a video of two people... They were fighting and one was stabbing the other with a knife, it was bad Mummy," he said, his face turning red.

Lena's heart sank. She knew she had to handle the situation with care and understanding.

"Oh Kevin, that must have been really scary for you to see," she said, hugging him again. "But you know that's not real, right? It's just a movie, like the ones we watch together."

Kevin nodded, but Lena could tell he was still shaken up. She decided to talk to him more about it the next day, when they could both process it better.

"Let's get you back to bed, okay? And tomorrow we can talk more about what you saw and how it made you feel," she said, leading him back to his room.

As she tucked him in, Lena couldn't help but think about the violence he had witnessed on the video. She made a mental note to talk to him about the importance of not watching violent content, and to monitor his TV usage more closely.

But for now, all she could do was hold her son close and be a good mother as best as she could.

The next day, when she was at her day job, she got a call from the bar.

"Will you be able to come in today?" Dawn asked her from the other side of the line.

"Come in? Haven't you heard what I did?" Lena replied, confused.

"No? Anyways, the owner is coming with our new manager and he want everyone in tonight." Dawn said.

"Oh? Okay, I'll be there." Lena got excited that the man was not going to be there.

She dreaded seeing him again, especially after what she did the night before.

"Hello, welcome to Star Mart, I'll organize your things." She spoke with a smile directed at a customer in front of her.

She worked as a cashier at a Mart in the day, she was happy there because the pay was something to put food on her table.

"Thank you." The man replied and left Lena thinking about where he knew the man from.
