"So, I went on the date with this guy named Asher," Lena began. "He seemed nice at first, but then things took a turn."

"What happened?" Ria asked.

"Well, remember how I told you about that night at the club, what happened that made me quit?" Lena said.

Ria shook her head, no.

"He called me a whore." Lena said, sipping her juice. She was simply trying to act it cool, deep down the words cut deeply.

Ria's eyes widened in shock. "What? That's terrible! I can't believe he would say something like that to you."

"I know," Lena said. "I was so angry and hurt. I immediately got up and left the restaurant."

"I don't blame you," Ria said. "That's a completely unacceptable thing to say to someone. Did he try to contact you after?"

"He did," Lena said. "He followed me, started apologizing and saying that he didn't mean it. But I don't know if I can forgive him for that."

"I don't blame you," Ria said. "It's one thing to have a difference of opinion, but it's another thing entirely to insult someone like that. You deserve someone who respects you and your choices."

Lena nodded. "I just can't believe that someone could be so judgmental and cruel. I thought he was different."

"It's disappointing, but unfortunately, there are a lot of people out there who still hold outdated and harmful beliefs," Ria said. "The important thing is that you know your worth and don't let anyone make you feel ashamed of your past."

"I know," Lena said, smiling slightly. "Thanks for being such a good friend, Ria. I always feel better after talking to you."

"Of course," Ria said. "That's what friends are for. And if you need anything else, don't hesitate to reach out."

Lena and Ria continued to talk for a while longer, discussing their own experiences with dating and relationships. Lena felt grateful to have such a supportive friend in her life, someone who could understand and empathize with her struggles.

As she left Ria's house later that evening, Lena felt a sense of relief and closure. While the experience with Asher had been hurtful, she knew that she had the strength and support to move on and find someone who would treat her with the respect and kindness she deserved.

Asher nervously paced around Maya’s living room, kneading his hands together as if he were trying to wash them. He had just finished telling her about his ill-fated date, and there was an uncomfortable silence between them.

Maya finally broke the silence. “You know, Asher, what you did was really rude.”

Asher sighed and ran a hand through his hair. “I know,” he said. “Believe me, I feel horrible about it. I mean, I didn't even know it was her until I looked well. It was so embarrassing.”

Maya crossed her arms and gave him a stern look. “You should feel embarrassed. You shouldn't be calling people names like that.”

Asher hung his head. “I know. I was stupid. I didn't realize who she was.” He paused. “But still, she was so nice when we were out. She didn't act like she was mad at me or knew me at all until I pointed it out.”

Maya rolled her eyes. “I'm sure she was just being polite. You can't expect people to just forgive and forget when you say something like that.”

Asher sighed. “I know. I guess I just hope that maybe I can make it up to her somehow. I don't know how, though.”

Maya thought for a moment. “Maybe you should apologize to her. That would be a good start.”

"I did, I followed her immediately she left the table, but she looked really hurt." He told her

"I would be too, maybe you should try something more." Maya suggested.

Asher shook his head. “No, I don't think that would be enough. I mean, I really messed up. I need to do something more.”

Maya nodded. “Well, why don't you write her a letter? Explain what happened, apologize for your behavior and tell her why you said what you did.”

Asher brightened. “That's a great idea! I can do that.”

Maya smiled. “Good. I'm sure she'll appreciate it.”

Asher nodded and rubbed his hands together. “I'm going to get started on it right now.” He grabbed a pen and paper and began to write.

Dear Lena,

First of all, I want to apologize for my behavior the other night. I said something very inappropriate and I'm deeply sorry. It was uncalled for and I'm ashamed of myself. I never meant to hurt you or make you feel badly.

I want you to know that I didn't realize it was you, until after I had said it. I was shocked and embarrassed when I realized what I had done. I was so embarrassed that I didn't even stay to talk to you. I'm truly sorry for that as well.

I know there is no way to make up for what I said, but I hope you can forgive me. I'm really sorry for my actions.

Sincerely,

Asher.

After he finished writing, he looked Maya in the eyes and realized he doesn't know how to get the letter across to Lena.

"I don't know where to find her." He muttered.

"Well well well, it's a good thing they all wrote down where they work." Maya smiled cheekily, pulling out her phone to show Asher the details.

"I love you Maya." He kissed her cheeks as he took the phone, walking in the direction of his room.

"You better, you'd be dead without me."
