"Let go off her now!" Asher's voiced boomed, seeing Lena being manhandled by a strange man.

"Go away man, this isn't none of your business." The man spat, resuming his roughing of Lena.

"Well, it is my business, seeing as she's my friend." Asher replied calmly.

"Friend?" Stranger scoffed, "You have started to whore yourself around like before? Isnt that right you slut!" He slapped Lena across the face.

"No, please." She sobbed, getting in her knees.

Before anyone coild say anymore word, Asher has neared the man, delivering a punch right across his face.

"You dickward! You stay away from her, do you hear me." Asher state in top of the man he caught of guard with his punch. He made sure to punch him with every single word, just to pass his point across.

The more he looked at Lena and see the hand print starting to form on her pale face, be got more angry and punched the guy.

"Okay! Okay! Fine." The man surrendered, running away at the chance he got.

Asher helped Lena up.

"Who was that man? Are you okay? Of course you're not, in sorry, but who I he really, because someone you don't know couldn't have approached you like that." Asher ranted.

"He is no one, thank you Asher, but you shouldn't have done that." Lean replied and moved to leave.

"No no, you don't get it, he was hurting you. I couldn't just watch, youre my friend Lena." He held her back.

Lena looked at Asher, her eyes brimming with tears. "I know," she whispered. "Thank you."

Asher pulled her into an embrace, holding her tightly as she cried. Lena's body shook as she clung to him, her tears soaking into his shirt.

"It's okay," Asher whispered, rubbing her back. "You're safe now."

Lena pulled away from him, wiping her tears. "I'm sorry," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I shouldn't have let him touch me like that."

"It's not your fault," Asher said firmly. "He had no right to put his hands on you."

Lena nodded, but her eyes were haunted. "I thought I could handle it," she said. "I thought I could take care of myself."

Asher's expression softened. "You don't have to do it alone," he said. "I am here for you, Lena. I know we haven't known each other for long, but I'm here." He assured.

"Thanks, what brings you here?" She changed the subject, perceiving that the conversation was beginning to get personal.

"Oh, yeah I was in the neighborhood, passing by your store and I decided to drop by and say hi."

"That's very kind of you, the you Asher. But I need to go now." Lena hugged him one last time.

"I could take you wherever you need to go." He suggested, but she shook her head no.

"Actually, I insist."

"And i resist. Seriously, go home Asher, I'm fine." She smiled, patted his shoulder and left him there.

"But, she's not fine." He muttered at her retreating back, but left anyways.

As Lena neared her son's school to pick the boy up, she made sure to put up her best smile, seeing as her son was turning into an inquisitive little thing.

"Miss Dean! Hello, where is Kevin?" She greeted her son's teacher.

"Oh, hi Ms. Lena, he's in the playroom with the other kids waiting for their parents." The teacher pointed her in the right direction and got back to what she was doing.

"Thank you."

As she neared the playroom, she could hear whimpering and some begging that seems to be coming from her son's voice.

"Kevin?" She called out, opening the door.

Her eyes widened at the shock she was met with.

"Kevin!" She rushed forward, ready to play her supermom duty.

"Oh my God Kevin!"
