Skylar's POV
It's been 2 weeks now since I've moved from Seattle, and to Sydney. I needed to start fresh. I needed to leave town, I couldn't live like that. I needed a distraction for the love of everything that breathes!
I was a red rosé, hidden in the dark for too long that my petals fell black. I needed a new light in my life.
He was trapped in between my thoughts, my mind not daring to process another thought.
I miss him.God, I miss him.
I haven't spoken to anyone ever since, not even Jules or my aunt who must be worried sick. I bought a new phone, and with my college money, got a small flat. Those two weeks have made me feel so.... alive; even starting my first day at a new school.
I pumped up the sound on my radio and sang like a tortured cat to 'Roar by Katy Perry'. Grabbing my towel, i massaged the wet roots of my hair and jogged to the kitchen; stuffing half a piece of chocolate in my mouth. I opened the fridge and grabbed the milk carton.
Gotta love breakfast
"And your gonna hear me ROOOAAAARRR!" I sang with milk dripping down the sides of my lips.
I stashed the milk back in the fridge and raced to my room changing the song. "Now watch me whip, watch me nae nae!" I sang along foolishly, while pulling out the 'perfect' outfit for my first day at a new school.
"Yes. No. No. Where have you been all my life!" I screeched pulling out my black sweatpants and a black singlet from my closet. I tied a red flannel around my waist and grabbed my black combat boots.
"Watch me nae nae!" I hummed, grabbing the curling iron I had packed underneath my bed. I loosely curled my hair as it fell in soft waves right beneath my waist line.
Heading over to my bag and grabbing my makeup products; applying concealer, powder, bronzer and mascara. I tripped over my own two feet and landed flat on my face; I groaned
"Great! Can't walk in heels or my boots" I complained, blowing out the strands of curls that landed on my face. I hopped back on my two feet before checking myself out in the mirror; great no flat nose!

'Yeahhhh... wouldn't want to look bad on your first day...' My subconscious sarcastically grinned.

I smiled at my appearance and grabbed the keys to my flat before I slung my bag over my shoulder; grabbing my phone and ran out the door.
"Hey Mrs Dean" I smiled at my next door neighbour. "Is Zac ready yet?"
She yawned, rolling her eyes "No dear, still doing his hair for the past half an hour" she giggled.
"Mum, where's my straightener?!"
I laughed once I heard him whine like a 3 yr old.
"I thought I took long" I sarcastically teased.Me and Zac met on the first day when I moved in. He helped me organise, and introduced me around to old people who lived in this building. He was my only friend, and I wanted to keep it that way.
"Hurry up, this poor girl is going to be late for her first day!" His mother called out to him.
He finally walsed out the front door wearing a red muscle tee, and black jeans. Zac went to the gym almost every day, and boy was I drooling just looking at him.
