Chapter 12: Enough

*CODY'S POV*

I walk into the dorm to the sound of sobbing and my heart squeezes. I put down my keys and wonder into Allie's room. It's empty.

I walk across the dorm to the bathroom. She's in the shower.

"Allie." I knock on the door.

Her sobs stop. She's silent.

"What do you want?" Her voice is low.

"Are you okay?"

"I'm fine."

"No your not. Can you come out?"

I hear her choke out another sob.

"Allie."

Her cries ring through my ears, muffled by the door between us.

"Either your coming out or i'm coming in because your scaring me, Li."

"Come in i don't care." She sobs.

I twist the door nob, surprisingly it's unlocked.

I grab a towel and open the shower door.

Fucking hell, i can't believe i'm doing this.

I turn off the shower water and wrap the towel over the front of her body and pull her up off the ground as tears runs down her cheeks. I wrap the towel completely around her.

"Come on." I whisper as she steps out the shower. We walk into her room and i grab her favourite comfy warm pajamas.

I lay them next to her as she's sitting on the edge of the bed.

"Get dressed i'll be back in a second."

"Okay." She whispers.

I leave the room and let her change while i calm my fucking breaths.

"Are you dressed?"

"Yes."

I open the door where she's laying in bed the covers softly around her. I sit on the edge of the bed and brush her wet hair off her face.

"My mum.." She whispers and then goes silent.

"What's wrong with your mum?"

"She's not letting me home for mid-semester break. She thinks it will ruin everything that i've got going here." She sobs.

"Shhh, it's okay." I wipe her cheeks as tears fill my eyes.

"The funny thing is, i don't have anything going on here. I've ruined my life." She laughs through tears.

"You haven't ruined your life." I whisper.

"I don't even get to go home. It's all i've been thinking about and my stupid parents won't let me."

Her chest heaves as she sobs.
