Chapter 14: Dreams

*ALLIE'S POV*

I walk into the dorm and see Cody sitting on the couch staring at a peice of paper. I smile as i see him. I'm so greatful for him.

Although, he doesn't look at me and smiles like usual. He just stares at the paper.

"What's wrong?" I walk towards him.

His hand shakes as he points to a letter. It's his mid semester report card.

"B." He whispers.
"B."
"I got a fucking B."

"There's nothing wrong with a B. It's above average."

He looks up at me and he stands up and begins pacing around the dorm.

"It's not a big deal Cody, calm down."

"No you don't understand." His tone goes harder as his hands ball into fists.

"What's going on?"

I watch as his breath deepens.

"I'm going to get in trouble."

"By who?"

"My parents."

"Why?"

"They hate when i don't get A's."

"What else do they expect? You got sick for a week and you couldn't hear. You were busy taking care of me because i was a cow and your captain of the hockey team. You do everything for everyone else."

"Yeah well they don't care about that. As long as my grades are good."

"Your grades are good."

"Not good enough."

"Okay stop pacing your making me dizzy."

He slowly stops walking and flops onto the couch laying down. I walk and sit on the coffee table infront of him as he pulls a blanket over the top of his body.

"You still have another term before our semester report cards come out and you can get your grade back up by then."

"But this grade is a B."

"What's it even for?"

"PE."

"See! You were sick a week, you couldn't of got an A."

"But they expect an A in PE because i'm strong in it."

"Fuck them. Honestly."

"You like my parents, Li."

"Yeah well not right now."

He slowly smiles at me, his eye crinkles deepening.

"Yeah, we'll see. They will call me in a few days and we will see what happens to me."

"You'll be okay."

"What did you get for yours?"

"A few C's and B's which is better then i expected considering everything."
